Advantages: cheap, easy to use, actually works! Disadvantages: no stand
This is the third curling tong I have bought, and by far the best. I previously had a Vidal Sasson hot air brush and a Morphy Richards tong, and neither of them worked on my hair, as it's so thick. If I did manage to get a curl in my hair, it would drop out after about 5 minutes. Bearing this in mind, I was fairly hesitant about buying another one. It was when I was given a ceramic straightener (see my review! Sorry that was a blatant plug wasn't ... ...straigtener was absolutely fantastic, not only would my hair go straight, but it would stay straight. A big achievement for me! I was in Boots one day, when I started looking at the electrical appliances. I noticed that you could now get ceramic-coated curling tongs, and wondered if these too would be as fantastic as my straighteners. It was the Nicky Clarke one that really caught my eye, as at only £14.99 it was incredibly cheap, and came in two ...

The Nicky Clarke NCS75 also goes by the name "pro ceramic worldwide straightener" because it has a worldwide voltage, suitable for use in any country. I personally tested it out, and it worked fine in the middle of Asia as well as the middle of London!... more
