-PRICE- It's RRP is £35.00, but my advice is go to Argos, they have it on sale quite often, and to my fury, it once went down to £15, just after I bought it at ammuch higher price. So keep an eye out for the price dropping.
-THE DESIGN- It's a simple and sophisticated looking piece, with a black base and red panels at the top and bottom. It has a very curved and rounded design, the edges are rounded, the panels are also rounded, and the handle is curved aswell.
-SPECIAL FEATURES IN THE DESIGN- The curved handle is a special feature in the straightener as it is meant to make styling easier and more comfortable. Personally, I think it's more design than feature, because it's not a main selling point in the product, for me, it doesn't really effect the comfort and ease of using the straightener. It has a simple sliding on/off switch, in metallic grey with a red indicator light. It has a swivel cord, which prevents the wire from becoming tangled and annoying as you straighten your hair at different angles and turns.

-THE TECHNOLOGY- "High performance ceramic technology", It's the only printed text on the straightener, which shows just how important it is for the manufacture to advertise that the plates are solid ceramic. The solid ceramic technology means that both plates heat up quickly and evenly all the way through, and outperform the earlier ceramic coated models.
The straightener reaches heats of 230 degrees, and for my hair staightens in just one stroke, and for a poker straight finish, one or two runs through are enough. It heats up in less than 30 seconds, and is up to full heat in about a minute!
-THE RESULTS- It's the best straightener I've used so far, it glides through hair quickly and easily, and heats up really quickly, so I'f ive got even less than a minute to spare, I can quikly run through the bits of hair framing my face and I'm on the go. It's great for express styling. But the true results come when you take time and straighten all the hair, and run through twice, It makes my hair so sleek and perfectly finished. My hair comes out shiny without being aided by products. I can even flick, curl, and make ringlets with the straightener, depending on which angles and turns I use, it just takes some practice. It truly is a very versatile and performing straightener.
-ADVANTAGES- High temperature 230 degrees Worldwide voltage for use in any country Curved handle allows easy styling Solid ceramic plates for smooth and sleek hair Ceramic technology for ultra fast heat up Swivel cord for tangle-free cable as you style
-DISADVANTAGES- Can't control the temperature No digital thermostat Can be a little bit bulky Isn't very portable Doesn't come with the heat mat
-TECHNICAL EXTRAS- It's 230V - 240 V 30W Plug contains 3 amp fuse cord type is: Grip
-MY WARNING TO YOU!- Definetly buy a heat mat, as the high heat makes the straightener a potential hazard. It always has a lingering salon type burning smell, so it's just something you get used to. The edges of the plates stick out just a little bit, so they hit you at some angles when you straighten. So you should be extra careful.
-FINAL VERDICT- I love this straightener, you have to take a few little precautions, but that's the same with all electrical appliances, that definetly shouldn't be an off-put. My hair comes out looking like it's been straightened in a salon, what more can anyone want? I 100% recommend anyone should go and buy it.
Advantages: Heats up quickly, straightens even thick hair perfectly, not heavy to hold, great price! Disadvantages: When left on for a while, smells like somethings burning.
...time and also ive had nicky clarke products before and i think they are really good quality!
They were on offer at argos £20 and they were originally something like £40 so it was a good bargin.
They get to 230 degrees and that really does straighten my hair and my hair is really thick and slightly wavy. The good thing is you can adjust to the temperature you want. The reason it works for me is becasue i spend alot of time on my hair so i take time ... ...technology Combines ionic and infra red technology to help make hair softer and easier to style whilst promoting healthy hair and scalp Ceramic technology for ultra fast heat up Variable heat dial with 5 settings On/off switch with power on indicator light Salon cable Swivel cord for tangle-free cable With my old straightners my hair used to get caught in the plates and it used to pull some strands of my hair out but these dont because they have ...
