Advantages: Light, very compact and cheap Disadvantages: No disadvantages were to be found by me
In my opinion these straighteners are better than GHDs - GHDs are good but seem to pull on my hair when I use them and cause static. These NickyClarke straighteners are just as hot (I think about 210 or 230 depending on the heat setting) and in my opinion do a better job. They make my hair look nice and shiney, they heat up quick, look good, get right to the roots easily and are quite compact and light too!
They come with a heat proof bag which in some cases you dont always get with the ghd's. One thing I would also like to say is whilst on holiday in Greece doing my hair seemed so much less of a chew. No sweating while trying to straighen my hair,
Also supplied in this gift set is a brush and sectioning grips, a must for me Im afraid which again are a bonus to have.
Anyway rant over, these are really good as a gift ...
Advantages: Works really well Disadvantages: None I can think of
Recently I have had my long hair completely chopped off and best thing I ever did was that too! I love my healthy, bouncy and easier to style hair that now takes minimal styling and I'm back to spending an absolute fortune on haircare products for my hair again because I can see the point in them now!
On a recent shopping trip to Boots I saw this retailing at £5.49 a tube and continued walking by to be honest! I didn't need it and decided it was wasting my dosh! However when I saw it in my local 99p shop on the same day (yep it cost 99p!) I couldn't find a single reason not to treat myself to one!
The Packaging....
150ml silver, plastic tube with white plastic frosted flip top lid concealing a small hole situated at the bottom. In black and bright pink writing (all over the tube) on the front I'm told it is NickyClarke ...
Advantages: Very easy to use Disadvantages: None so far
NickyClarke Caramel Colour System with honey and beeswax. Lasts for 15 - 20 washes. So far I have only washed my hair twice since application.
I have mid brown hair and chose caramel because I wanted to try and blend in the dreaded grey hairs. It says on the pack not to be used if your hair is more that 50% grey.
My hair is 'salt and pepper' grey, and nothing has managed to cover it previously. This colour has managed to tinted it so it isn't so obvious but it is still highlighted (not a solid colour but that probably looks more natural anyway). I wanted grey cover without having to resort to permanent colour where I would need to keep 'doing my roots'.
I have used other non permanent hair colours but this is the only one that has tinted the grey.
I was surprised with the lack of information on the box with regard ...
