Need for Speed 2 (PC)

Advantages: GVFM, Graphics v.good for game that age
Disadvantages: Few cars and tracks

I bought this game about two and a half years ago as part of the Total Racing games pack. For a game of that age, and the spec that it needs to run it (I was running it with full detail etc on a P133, 16Mb RAM, 4Mb ATI Graphics Card) I was very impressed. The gameplay is not as good as the later versions of the game but the interior details of the cars and the computer opponents are very good, functional and clear. ...the Internet. The tracks are quite easy to master and again I couldn't find any more to download. Overall, it is a good game and the engine sounds (and horn) are tailored to each car which makes it better to play. There are loads of different game modes to play such as Arcade, Championship, Individual Race etc. along with the ability to play against the computer, another opponent or even with an Internet link against opponents that you don't know. ... Disadvantages: Lack of road courses and the fact that you can easily spin out (its annoying!!)

Advantages: This is a good racing game that bases itself on real cars
Disadvantages: The driving aspect lacks some realism

...along with its follow up need for speed underground. The game holds a certain amount of realism from the point of view that your turn too hard you spin out and fly across the road into something hard and damaging. The controls on this game are very simple to use and it still poses a challenge. Normally I'd finish a game in roughly 2or3weeks i've had this game for 6months and still haven't completed it fully that how much there is to do and how difficult ...
...stuck on one race doesn't mean you hafta keep trying until you finish it or throw the game out the window, just move on play a few different races and come back to it. This is a great game but if your into that whole customisation along with speed thing and like the good ole cars like honda civics and VW golf's then underground would be a great game for you also. This game does not require great skill to get right. It is more an arcade style racing game than one which actually needs practice. That said, it is still quite a fun game to play. There are seven tracks, and an extra one after a tournament in which you race round all the other tracks. The tracks are fantasy tracks and have some fun additions, such as large tunnels or moving barriers. The cars themselves are top sports cars, such as the Ferrari ...
...good on the photo, are not greatly different in the race. The graphics are not brilliant. They are acceptable, but it is very obvious the game is quite old and not a recent release. Sound is limited - it is only the noises of the cars, and there is no commentary. One advantage is that split-screen play is possible for just two people. I started to play this game at my friends house and liked it, and brought it. It is the best driving game i have and now all my friends have and love it too.We also have races over the internet connection. The graphics are good,but when you have different camera views they change in quality, out of the six there is only one i like which is on the bonet of the car. ...Need for Speed Underground 2 is my first racing game i have played i loved this game so much this is different from all games i have seen.When i meet my friends we use to play this game in LAN we used to enjoy a lot ,mostly we used to play outrun because there is not specific track for the out run . ........ ..., if you didnt make it in time. The Special event will be there for the whole stage. Now about the game itself. This game is quite hungry for the graphics card. Running almost all details and the highest resolution needs almost 512 MB graphics card. But for the average gamer, 128 MB will do just fine. Recommended requirements: Pentium 4 2 Ghz processor. 1 GB of RAM 128 MB of graphics. 2 gb of free disk space. But everything can run UG2 now days. Playability is off the scale, UG2 has the best speed sensation ever. The scenery flows past at natural speed and makes driving an epic sensation. I can honestly say that after playing UG2, I felt like a race driver. And then there are the negatives. As the game makes you feel like a race driver, it also makes you feel that you could do the same things in real life... Read review
