Electronic Arts is primarily known to everyone through their Need For Speed series. In year 2006 they completed Need For Speed: Carbon. If we compare this series to other series, It's really different and many things have changed very much. But gameplay is very similar, especially to Need For Speed: Underground 2. You ride along the streets in the city and you complete missions to conquer territories. As usually, you earn money, and also you can unlock new things for your racing car. As you know, with money you can buy new cars and different engines, transmissions and other things for your car. It's great game for racing games fans and this game gives you real racing experience.
In the beginning of the game you are some kind of rookie, who earns money and earns fame by racing. There are a lot of different missions to complete, example sprint race, circuit race, drifting race and much more. You ride through Carbon Canyon in route to Palmont City. Every event was really interesting and very challenging and gives you real racing experience. But maybe steering with your wii reomote is a little bit messy, It's pretty hard, but still It's pretty interesting. Big surprise for me was drifting event. In Need For Speed: Underground 2 drifting event sucks, but in Carbon It's awesome. Maybe It's really easy, but surely It offers you a lot of fun.
In the garage you can make everything with your car, everything what you want to do. And It's surprisingly easy and interesting. In performance menu, you can change your car engines, transmissions, tires, suspensions, nitrous and much more. Also you can change engine or some other application settings. Example with engine, you can change your speed higher or change your car acceleration faster. A better tire gives you better street ability, so you don't slip so much in the curves. But if you are challenging in drifting race, It's better to change your tires settings, that you slip more that usually.
In the right corner you can see little GPS. From that you can see challenges where you can enter and of course you see police cars. Finding challenges and completions is really easy. You can take out your bigger map and then you see all races where you can enter. Races are marked with little yellow icons. Police cars are marked with little triangle shaped red icons.
Example if you are trying to escape from cops and they don't find you at the moment, you can see little grey icons on your GPS. These icons are safe spots, where you can enter and after that you lose cops really fast. Usually these spots are somewhere in covered place, from where cops can't see your car. But of course these places don't arise immediately after that, you have lost cops, you have to wait about fifteen seconds before you see these spots.
As I said, that these safe spots don't arise immediately after you have sot cops, so be careful all the time, because if cops going to arrest you, your car heat going to increases. If your car heat level increases for three times, cops going to give your car away from you. Always you see police icons on the GPS, slow down your speed and drive really carefully. Some police cars are really heavy and they have awesome strength and It's really hard to escape from them. Their speed is really fast and they just press you to the corner, from where you can't escape so easily. Of course in the beginning there are Some little police cars and you don't care this cars, but after there are much stronger and faster police cars. Also they put car barriers on the streets and also there are nails beside these barriers, but not always.
If you play Need For Speed: Carbon you surely fell a love with that and you can't stop playing. But streets and background of the city is really weird. It seems, that all the time It's night in the city and there isn't sun. But earnestly, graphics surprised me very much. If you compare Carbon with Underground 2, or with some older series, Carbon has really great graphics and It really amazed me. Cars look really amazing and all details are really realistic. And these videos among the game, these videos are really fantastic. These videos are like real, but also these are like animated movies.
As I said, gameplay is really interesting and challenging. Especially I like police chasing. I like to ram these police car barriers with slow a motion. Cars fly away so cool and I really like it. Like other EA games, also this is playable in online. It's nothing special and Personally, I haven't played it online, but my friend has and he says, that It's really interesting, but there aren't many people, who's playing online. Even if you have bad internet connection, It's pretty interesting and your internet connection don't annoy you.
In conclusion, Need For Speed: Carbon is really interesting and challenging game. Single-player gameplay is really awesome and interesting and also online gameplay is pretty good. I don't think, It's disappointment to someone, because everything is really ok in my thought. There aren't any minuses, except that, you can't delete your accounts in the game. Graphics are awesome and surprised me a lot, everything looks really realistic. It's recommended to everyone, especially to racing game fans.

Advantages: amazing graphics Disadvantages: very easy
I brought this game from virgin about a week ago and I was amazed with the graphics and the simplicity of the controls and the actual game play. The only problem with the game is now after one week I have completed 96% of the game and I now don't know what to do with it. It doesn't feel like I have played it that much and I have already nearly completed it. It is a really good game but it is very easy.
The dame has a very good story line and the ... ...anything away because it is a good story. My favourite part of the game s the career mode when you can pick which races you want to do. There are just a few different types of race including,
Checkpoint; which is where you have to race from checkpoint to checkpoint to beat the clock before it runs out. If the time runs out before you reach the checkpoint you lose but if you make it to the finish line before the time runs out then you win it is as ...

...you are fan of the Need For Speed games. The new controls using the wii-mote are so much easier on your fingers and feel much more natural.
Those that weren't so good at racing games before can finally race against the best gamers and have a chance at winning.
The only disappointment I had with this game was how quickly you can get to the end. They have yet to match the depth of Need for Speed 2. If you want to purchase this game I would suggest ...

Quick review of Need for Speed: Carbon (Wii)
I have to admit - I didnt buy this game, just rented it! I found it looked very nice but the gameplay, in some parts, was awful and very hypersensitive, which made it extremely frustrating. To give it its due, some of the parts were great fun, especially speeding around empty cities at 200 mph, but some of them were frankly just annoying. If you're like me and don't like repeating the same thing over and over again, this is not the game for you, and I'm pretty sure there are better, playability-wise if not cosmetically, driving games around. ...

Advantages: Graphics are awesome & Soundtrack is brilliant! Disadvantages: controls are stupidly oversensitive!
What can I say about this game? Well I will start with the good points!
The graphics are amazing! Better than any other NFS game, the roads and cars look so real, you could really be driving! There are 6 control configurations to choose from, I used the default settings. You have to hold the controller sideways (like bicycle handlebars) and tilt it to turn. You can also use the direction buttons to turn sharper corners, or to push others out of ... ...to use, and you get a realistic motion blurring!
Now for the downside...
The tilt of the controller is oversensitive, especially on the Drift races. Losing control is toooooo easy, and regaining control is almost impossible!
My car spent most of its time embedding itself in walls and spinning out of control!
Not an easy game to play, but I am sure with a lot of patience, it will be an outstanding racing game. ...

of working in the gaming industry is working with people who have first-hand experience of new releases - before they're released!
Gamers who want to get stuck in right away needn't worry, as the Wii is starting of with a catalog of 62 games, including big names like Call of Duty 3, Need for SpeedCarbon, and also new exclusive titles such as The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess, not forgetting the nintendo favourite characters, as in Super Mario Galaxy. And if this isn't enough, Nintendo are making available the entire back catalog of nintendo games (yes, right back to the NES) and Sega games, all FREE OF CHARGE! Presumably extra memory drives will be required for these, but a great option, nonetheless. And for all the GameCube owners out there, the games are directly compatible.
There seems to be a good stock of the Wii coming out ...

Advantages: Brilliant Sound & Graphics Are Amazing. Disadvantages: None
I bought Need For Speed Prostreet for my Wii,
If you've played and enjoyed the previous Need For Speed games, such as Most Wanted and Carbon, and liked the way it was set on the streets and not on tracks, you should definitely not buy this game. Every single race in this game is set on race tracks, I've only played a few races and I already find it quite monotonous.
The controls are average, you use the single wii remote and steer it left or right. It takes some getting used to if you're used to racing games on more common remotes (such as Xbox, which was what I was more familiar with), but once you get the hang of it, it's quite fun to move the remote to steer. The sensitivity is about right, but it just feels really slow and heavy when you're turning a corner with your car. The speed and fast graphics are missing.
The graphics ...

Manufacturer's product description
The battle for the city is won in the canyon as Need for SpeedTM Carbon immerses you in the world's most dangerous and adrenaline-filled form of street racing.
For the first time in a Need for Speed game, build a crew and race in an all-out war for your city against rival crews and opposing car classes. You'll risk everything to take over rival neighborhoods one street at a time.
Each crew member has unique skills that you trigger during races to give you the winning edge over opponents. Call on a Blocker to create a distraction and slow down other racers or a Scout to lead you to shortcuts on the track.
As the police turn up the heat and force the races to the outskirts of the city, the battle ultimately shifts to Carbon Canyon, where territories and reputations can be lost on every perilous curve.
Use your creativity to design your crew's cars with the revolutionary new AutoscupltTM car customization tool that gives you the power to turn every vehicle into the car you've always wanted.
Represent your car class, your crew, and your streets in Need for Speed Carbon, the next revolution in racing games
Features:
Survive the Canyon - Leave the streets to battle rival bosses in the canyons outside the urban center. All-new Canyon Duel and Drift race modes are the ultimate test of skill and nerve, where one wrong turn could cost you more than the race.
The City Is Yours for the Taking - Race for control of the city block-by-block by taking down rival crews on their turf, then defeat their crew leaders in life-or-death races in Carbon Canyon.
Customize Your Dream Car - The revolutionary new AutosculptTM car customization tool gives you the power to design and morph your car in every way imaginable.
Represent a Class - Affiliate with the Tuner, American Muscle, or Exotic car classes and prove once and for all who makes the best set of wheels. A new physics model makes each car handle and drive differently.
Build Your Crew - Strategically choose your crew members and use their skills on the road and in your garage to help you win races and customize your cars. Designate any member of your crew as a wingman and trigger his special skill to knock out your rivals.
Over 50 Real-World Licensed Cars - Every car is tuneable so you can customize their look and performance to suit your crew.
