For people that adore the previous editions which allowed you to different races on the streets will be disappointed by this edition. The general graphics and the sound quality is better than the previous games. But the fact that there is not the ability to drive around and test out he cars. there is still the ability to test all the cars out and then there is a more in depth customization area for the different parts that are edded on to the car. There is a ride range of places to race on the game though allowing a large variety. With four different game modes. Grip - Sector Shootout: Try and complete sections of the course faster than your opponents Time Attack : Complete a lap faster than your opponent Grip: Normal race against 6 opponents
Drag - 1/2 Mile Drag: One on One Race. 3 Attempts. 5 Opponents 1/4 Mile Drag: One on One Race. 3 Attempts. 5 Opponents Wheelie Competition: Fit Suspension to your drag with a high amount of horsepower and try to wheelie father than your opponent on a 1/4 mile drag circuit
Drift - Drift: Try to drift on corners that are on other race tracks. 5 opponents. 3 attempts
Speed - (This is a new mode that debuts on Pro Street) Top Speed Run: Race against 5 opponents and go through the checkpoints on the point to point track at the highest possible speed to have the highest total speed at the end. Speed Challenge: Point to point race and whoever gets to the end first.
The new mode is one of the great additions the game but can be extremely frustrating with just clipping a car or a going up the wrong side of a bump can total your car causing you have to use a repair marker, and then your race is over and will have to restart it all over again. The controls are good but are best if you get a wheel as it can be un-comfortable otherwise. With the motion sensing technology you can take the feel of the gameplay and really get into the game. If you are a real fan of the game I would not recommend this game. But it is actually good in the technical side of things
Advantages: Brilliant Sound & Graphics Are Amazing. Disadvantages: None
I bought Need For Speed Prostreet for my Wii,
If you've played and enjoyed the previous Need For Speed games, such as Most Wanted and Carbon, and liked the way it was set on the streets and not on tracks, you should definitely not buy this game. Every single race in this game is set on race tracks, I've only played a few races and I already find it quite monotonous.
The controls are average, you use the single wii remote and steer it left or right. ... ...to change them to make Need For Speed better.
The game retails in the UK for £30, which is quite cheap for a new game that has just come out, which should have already given me some indication of the lack of quality compared to previous Need For Speed games.
In my opinion, I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone, unless you don't mind everything I've said above. For an average racing game, it's ok…but it's Need For Speed, and in my mind, I expected ...

Advantages: Good gameplay, Damage, superb graphics Disadvantages: No free-roam. All track cars. too many ads
...for the developers of the need for Speed series. Every couple of yewars they have to re-invent the game to suit the trends and to try and rake in some more cash.
Unfortunately, they seem to have gone off the track a little in the latest game of the series, Need for Speed: Pro Street.
This Game is different from other titles, because it focusses solely on legal, track racing. What made the other titles so good, now seems to be gone from the series. ... ...Unlike other games, however, you need a seperate car for every type of event.
Having said that, the game does have some shining qualities. The graphics are awesome, and the new damage system really works. The customisation allowed on cars is sublime.
But, this game is littered with ads. Everywhere in the game you can see an ad for some company, whether it be for your car repairs or for better oil.
Because this game is supposed to be more realistic, ...

Advantages: very fun, good graphics, good sound quality, drag races Disadvantages: only manual control
I got this game about 2 days ago and i love it! Very good graphics and sound quality. the thing i didnt like about this game is that you have to manually switch gears and it is quite difficult when in the middle of a race, i have looked everywhere on this game for an option to change it to automatic but there isn't any. This would be something to consider before purchasing this game. Another thing i would recommend getting before you purchase this ... ...it is quite difficult to control without it. A good thing that i like about this game is the drag races which are races on straight tracks and all you have to do is switch gears at the right time and try and beat your opponent to the finish line. I would DEFINITELY recommend this game to a friend! My ratings for this game would be: 8/10 for gameplay/playability 9.5/10 for graphics 10/10 for sound quality 9.5/10 for value Thanks for reading!
