This is the monitor that is used by my house. So this is what I use regularly. The AG Neovo f-17 flat screenTFT monitor is not exactly unique, but does the job!

LOOKS This looks every bit the flat monitor. It has a grey textured finish. This does look a bit dull after a bit. The monitor is rectangular in screen shape. The screen is 17" in length. then there is an additional one and a half inches of panelling. The buttons controlling the screen are at the bottom of the screen and are centrally placed. It is about two inches in width from front to back. The screen is perfectly flat and this provides a good view of the desktop. It has a port at the back that is hidden a little which can be used for cables. The looks are ok for a flat screen.
PERFORMANCE This monitor performs pretty well, i think. The screen is clear and shows no problems dealing with fast high resolution games such as call of duty online. There are no instances experienced by me where i've noticed any 'dead pixels', but maybe i have just have not noticed them. The screen displays colour, contrast, brightness and sharpness well. The image refresh rate is ok. When you compare this model to other flatscreens, such as the ones we use at uni, it does not falter in the face of competition. It performs well for a flat screen!
WEIGHT It weighs about 5 kilos (4.9 to be exact). This is a lot lot less than normal monitors! But new flatscreen models are a lot lighter. But then again, your not exactly going to do reps with it are you, while working??? Because of the small weight, it has a certain adaptability that allows easy set up in different places (say when your changing the positioning of furniture in your bedroom/study).
SETTING UP THE MONITOR The monitor can be easily set up. There is only two cables, one for the back of the tower and one for the power. If you have any problems, the instruction maual deals with them pretty easily. This is so easy to set up. I have never had to use the manufacturer helpline, because I have not had any serious problems with this monitor. So for that option i have suggested satisfactory, although i have no idea what they are like!
FUNCTION BUTTONS The monitor has a button for power and a menu button. In this menu, you can change the language of the menu or change the screen details. The instructions provided are very straightforward and simple to understand. If you have any difficulty in understanding some or all of the menu functions and settings the small booklet provided explains it all quite fluently.
PRICES & AVAILABILITY I looked on the net, but i can't seem to find this monitor for less than $349. I don't know where my dad got this from, but i know it was bought at £199. So, I think that the price is about the same now. There are a lot of computing sites offering this product, just type in neovo f-17 in yahoo and follow the links.
OVERALL The monitor is quite cheap compared to other flatscreens. It is versatile and robust. You can't really complain with this thing, but i'm sure you could pick up a better monitor, just not as cheap.
