I usually love big! Big packets of crisps, big chocolate bars (only kidding SDN) you get the picture… But as try as I might I couldn’t quite get my head around those big Shredded wheat biscuits: And despite my liking for the cereal, all those long strings of wheat finding their way between your teeth is not a nice thought! And what’s more they dare you to eat three! Anyhow, good ole Nestle (or maybe not good ole), have given us Shredded wheat bite size, so no more strings of wheat floating around your mouth searching for a home. The pack which contains the smaller sized biscuits is not ... more

A couple of days ago I wrote a review about Jordans Crunchy Oats with Tropical Fruits. To compare it with other brands of cereal I have at home I first time tried Nestle Bitesize Shredded Wheat. Surprisingly I immediately fall in love with this Nestle product. About Nestlé Shredded wheat: Nestlé is the largest nutrition and foods company in the world which was founded in Switzerland. Shredded wheat is a breakfast cereal made from whole wheat. It was first made in the US in 1893, while UK production began in 1926. In the United Kingdom, the Shredded Wheat brand is owned by Cereal Partners, a ... more

Buying Shredded Wheat was an accident actually. I was looking for some cereal for my son and I saw the picture on the box showing the wheat “pillows” on it with milk and strawberry around them… As my kids were in a tantrum I just dropped it into the basket and ran to pay for it. At home I tasted it and realised that my 3 year old would never eat such a cereal. So I had to eat it myself. He tasted it and said that he didn’t like it. The cereal comes in a large cardboard box and there is a plastic bag which contains actually the cereals. They look like little pillows and they are stripy. Their ... more

---Why I Bought This---I cannot function until I have had some breakfast cereal and a cup of tea to get me going. During the colder winter months (and still now in May!) I enjoy cereal with hot milk. I cannot be bothered to make porridge first thing in the morning but I like having wheat biscuits or shredded wheat as a filling start to the day as they are quick to prepare. I tend to buy whichever seems to be on offer at the time.---The Brand---Made by Nestles. Shredded Wheat ws invented in the USA in the 19th century and has been a long standing breakfast cereal in Britain.---The Product---750 ... more

I know this has been out for a while now, and I for one was really pleased that they decided to make a mini size shredded wheat. The original size ones were too large for my bowl and had to spend time breaking them down to fit, which also made a mess everywhere. Everyone has heard of these and is better known as Bite Size; they are made by Nestle. This great tasty cereal is made from 100% whole grain wheat and they have no added salt or sugar and are 98% fat free, so they are an excellent choice for breakfast for any one trying to weight. Did you know that most cereals do not contain the whole ... more
