---Why I Buy This--- I remember buying and enjoying these lollies way back in the 1960s - when our favourites were Fab and Zoom. Fab seems to have stood the test of time... more

Advantages Advantages Keeps the kids quiet!

Disadvantages Disadvantages They won't let me have one!

As the mother of two young children, there are many staple items in my cupboards, fridges and freezer. One of these things has to be of the "ice-creamy" variety. In all fairness my children are not proud, they will pretty much eat any ice cream or lolly, as long as it is bright, colourful and sweet anything goes! As you may have noticed the weather has perked up rather dramatically in the last week or so, thus encouraging the kids to ask more frequently for an icy dessert, so as a treat I let them pick their own ice lollies from our local branch of Asda. One of the selected items is the ... more

    Advantages Advantages diffrent layers

    Disadvantages Disadvantages melts quick

Nestle Fab Ice-Lollies… These Nestle Fab Ice-Lollies are probably my favourite ice-lolly to have in the summer or even after a good work out. They are great to have in the freezer for sugar emergencies, which in my house happens quite a lot. The Fab lolly itself is a great design and incorporates four different sections which all have a distinctive taste and texture. This is unlike any other ice-lolly I can think of so I have nothing really to compare it with. The top layer of the lolly is really the hundred and thousands that are sprinkled onto the tip of the lolly. These are a multitude of ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap, Good Size,

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Orange isnt good

FAB ice lollies come in 2 varieties; orange and strawberry. Until last week I thought you could only get Strawberry flavoured FABs, but as they were on offer and I was intrigued by the orange version I purchased a box of both. FAB ice lollies in general are a fruit flavoured lolly with the upper half coated in a white milky ice-cream topped with a thin layer of nestle chocolate and sugar strands (long hundreds and thousands). They are an ideal summer treat. So with a total of 16 in the freezer (8 in a box) I thought it best to start making some space and eagerly unwrapped one of the orange ... more

Advantages Advantages great on hot days

    Disadvantages Disadvantages can be messy

Nestle Fab Ice Lollies Summer si nearly here and it really is beginning to get hot. In this heat there is nothing I like more than to be able to suck on something ice cold to chill me outside and inside. Nestle Fab ice lollies are the perfect thing for this particular craving and I must go through a good couple of dozen every summer. I tend to buy the multi packets from Tesco or Morrison's when I do my shopping but if I am out for an afternoon stroll I may be persuaded to buy myself a single ice-lolly from the shop. The cost is pretty reasonable and I pay around 50 pence for a single ice lolly ... more

Advantages Advantages An inexpensive treat that is not too unhealthy.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Just watch out for orange drips on the t-shirts!!

*FAB ICE LOLLIES" * NEW ORANGE VARIETY* I love a bargain - don't we all !! Expecting my three young grandchildren for a visit and hoping for good weather I was pleased to find this new variety of the old favourite, Fab lolly ices in Sainsbury's at the price of £1 for 8 ( a lot cheaper than getting them off the ice cream man!!!) These were less than half price as the r.r.p. is £1.99, so a couple of packets went in my trolley to go in the freezer at home. There are now three varieties of the old favourite available - the original strawberry, lime and orange; as yet I have not tried the lime and ... more
