Advertising is very strange like that. Why play on the Milky Bar Kid theme?

For those that dont know, the Milky Bar kid is a spotty urchin with Glasses that is dressed up like a cowboy. This must span from the 1950's when he first appeared. The popular Saturday morning viewing ... ...X Men to sell Cereal which I noticed they are doing today.
However, while the Space Age dawned, Milky Bar carried on with the Cowboy.
Anyway, back to the product.
The bar itself comes in a paper wrapper which is eye catching with its cream and Red Colour scheme. Keeping it fresh is a silver foil wrapper. Very thin but very effective.
The bar itself comes in two different sizes.
The smaller bar is very flat and hardly worth eating. It looks like ...

Just how yummy?
Heaven springs to mind. They are gorgeous! The smoothness on your tongue as the product melts or if you chew them and the creamy juices in your mouth, I can’t really explain other than to say, they taste wonderful. ...yellowy / off-white colour, with Nestle printed on each of the 6 segments. Everyone will have their own preference as to how they eat it, but I prefer to have the bar slightly warm, so that the chocolate is a lot softer than it would be direct from the fridge. This allows the chocolate to melt in the mouth that little bit easier, allowing you to suck the chocolate and savouring it, as opposed to biting it and wolfing it down. (We all know it's best ... ...as creamy, which is why it's better to take your time eating the chocolate in order to appreciate it. A small piece of Heaven it may be, but wolfing down this bar will do little for either you or your appetite.
This bar has a mere 542 calories per 100g, which, for the sake of a few minutes of divine white chocolate pleasure is well worth the couple of hours hard graft at the gym to work it off.
In summary, this is by far the best chocolate bar ...

Advantages: creamy and sweet Disadvantages: not really chocolate is it?
...Exactly.
But then Nestle introduced the Milky bar Chunky, a distinctly adult sized chocolate bar compared to the usual kiddie friendly sizes that I had grown up with. The Milky bar was first introduced in 1937 and has been popular ever since. However it is now available in a wide variety of sizes and forms. In addition to the Chunky size there is the large sized one, the medium sized one, the small one, you can buy Milky bar buttons, Milky bar eggs, ... ...Or do you suspect that Nestle have some more Milky bar products up their sleeve? Like Milky bar cereal? Anyway you can buy the Milky bar Chunkies singly or in multi-packs of four. I got a multi-pack of four. You can get these multi-packs in supermarkets or Woolworth’s. The wrapper of each individual Milky bar Chunky is plastic, unlike the original Milky bars which still come in the foil and paper wrappers. The top half of the wrapper is red, the ...

Advantages: Small, relatively cheap treat Disadvantages: sickly if you consume large amounts in one go
Nestle Milkybar
MilkyBars in case you have somehow not come across them are basically White chocolate bars.
Small Milkybars can be found in my corner shop for 15 pence, which is cheaper than alot of the sweets in there that little boy can reach. But Milkybars are available in bigger 'block' sizes if you really want to share or indulge.
Small Ones
The small bars measure in at about: 10cm long 3cm wide and half a cm thick if that. ... ...old style wrapper.

Advantages: Smooth and creamy, tastes like milybar Disadvantages: High calories
...Who can remember the milky bar kid? I certainly can. I used to love the adverts. " The milkybars are on me" Milky bar chocolate is still around in the shops and is a favourite of my small sons. Milkybar has now produced a mousse using real milky bar chocolate. I wanted something different for my boys to have as a dessert and noticed these mousses in my local supermarket. I was hoping they would like it as not all mousses based on chocolate bars actually taste of that certain chocolate bar. I needn't have worried, both boys loved the pudding.
NestleMilkybar dessert comes in 2 80g pots. It is normally priced at around 79p but I got mine on offer for 49p. They are often on buy one get one free and are available at most supermarkets. I got mine from Co-op.
The small plastic pots have the Nestle logo on the front and has...

...So moving on from my disgusting ‘Muller Light’ experience I decided to disregard any thought of calories or fat and just try something I think I’ll like, something chocolatey! So after little deliberation I opted for a NestleMilkybar Mousse. This was simply because Nestle are a quality brand, I have tried milkybars before and felt that the experience would enlighten my life……………………………………………………….. oh yeah and it was buy 1 get 1 free at my newsagent (which of course had no influence on my buying decision)!!! This dessert comes in pots of 2 (i.e. 2 pots per pack). Anyway I knew anything would be better than that awful Muller light chocolate flavour yoghurt I had eaten previously so that night I prepared to indulge myself in my new milkybar mousse!
**Packaging**
The mousse comes in a rather petite 80g pot. The pot is a creamy, milk...

Advantages: Creamy delicious dessert. Disadvantages: Fat and calories.
.... But after all, a dessert is called dessert for a reason, its not supposed to be good for the waste, its supposed to be good for the tastebuds, and believe me, these are.
Like i said, i do not see these as a mousse. In my opinion, a mousse is a bubbly, airy texture, like that of angel delight. But not these. These, in my opinion are very dense and thick. It is basically plain white chocolate with perhaps gelatine. Anyway, once you scoop it in to your mouth and suck on the white chocolate goo, your tastebuds will dance. They have the almost exact same taste as milky bars do (if you don't know what these taste like they are very sickly sweet, but at the same time creamy). Once you have had one spoonful, it is unlikely you will stop, and you are almost guaranteed to go back for more. After about 5 spoonfuls, sadly the pudding will be gone...
