...bought myself a bar of nestle yorkie I haven’t tried these before but I was thinking of someone at the time and I felt sure this was the sort of chocolate he would like, so I decided to try it for myself. I bought a nice big monster bar and as you must know by now the advertising for this particular bar has taken a bit of a bashing. Advantages: Huge chocolate bar
Disadvantages: perhaps too big for one person

It sat there on my kitchen table looking like a blunt weapon. I smelt it and was rewarded with a very chocolaty smell. ...the latest marketing ploy from Nestle and actually think that they have got it all wrong! The latest campaign tells us that the Yorkie bar is for men only. It “doesn’t come in pink”, is “king sized, not queen sized” and shouldn’t be used to “feed the birds”. Basically “it’s not for girls”. ...(raisin and biscuit). Surely Nestle have omitted to notice the feminine appeal here. I like my men big and chunky – that’s Yorkie. I like my men to have substance – that’s Yorkie. ...In my book ice cream is a girlie substance. We eat it when we are experiencing hormonal changes (that would be all the time then!), emotional changes (like I said, that would be all the time then!) and mood changes (see previous comments in brackets!). Regardless of the above, women know how to eat ice cream. We enjoy it and it turns us into selfish, evil people, especially if you want some of OUR ice cream. BUT Nestle reckons that Yorkie is not for girls! This of course applies to the ice cream too and the 'No Girls' sign in the O of the word Yorkie on the packaging would support this belief! I, beg to differ… I am a girl - does that surprise you? (My family would beg to differ). Advantages: It's chocolate ice cream!
Disadvantages: The pot's a bit of an inconvenient shape for the freezer!

......and I've tried that and it mings! However, I guess it was the 'no girls' sign that made me feel rebelious and like I wanted to do exactly what I was being told not to. Once I'd struggled with the fact that I am obviously a Marketeers dream and didn't want to succombe to Nestle's reverse psychological tactics, I figured that if they made me want it that much they deserved a little reward, so I bought it, for a very reasonable £1.99. Except it's not really is it, when you think that there's two lots of other people's profit that must come out of that before you get to the actual cost of manufacture! Viva communism I say! Yorkie ice cream is basically 1 litre of chocolate ice cream with little chocolate bits, which it turns out taste nothing like real Yorkie. It boasts that it's 'Dairy ice cream' on the pack, which worries me as surely... Read review

Advantages: The chunkiest around
Disadvantages: Don't eat in front of women's rights campaigners

...Yorkies new campaign to advertise yorkie bars announce that 'It's not for girls.' Bold statement to make considering that every 'girl power' group across the UK have been mildly miffed by this and lots of women have even actively vetoed Nestle products as a result. Although incoherent to this review, i couldn't really care less whether you was a girl or guy eating this product since it tastes the same either way without letting principalities get the better of you. There may even be a psychological factor in buying yorkie products influenced by the advertising strategies in this way. Not sure whether Nestle were aiming for a niche market or trying to attract more consumers but they sure got the attention of the general public. Geting back on topic....... Yorkie bars have got to be the chunkiest chocolate bar around compared... Read review
