...his new stuff relating to Net Force. Net Force is set about 10-20 years in the future where the internet is the central nevous sytem for coummincations.
I thought that these would be interesting so I got a copy called hidden agendas. I was interested becuase I work for an ISP and is set a little in the future.
Being used to books like Clear and Present Danger and the Hunt for Red October, I wasn't happy with this book.

Advantages: original and well-written Disadvantages: limited international terrorist options
Tom Clancy's Net Force book capture my imagination instantly for one reason. They are set in the future. I have no idea why, but I love to read what people think the future will be like. I've read views like that of George Orwell, which are of a bad future, and Aldous Huxley in Brave New World (which I had to put down because it was so unbelieveable). Tom Clancy writes of a future that is like today, but with better gadgets. I like that. I like the ... ...he thinks up are believeable.
Net Force is an FBI unit based at combating internet terrorism. The main characters are Alex Michaels, the head of the section we concentrate on, Toni Fiorella, his assistant and lover, Jay Gridley, computer VR wizard. Together they combat terrorism such as, well, in the two i've read:
