The Perfect Laptop/Netbook For Anyone - Samsung NC10

Advantages: Lightweight, Small, Large Screen, Great Quality
Disadvantages: Not the Best battery life

I have this cute little netbook on a vodafone contract and I love it. The only problem I have ever had with it, is occasionally the touchpad will crash and need to be restartedm but this is very occasional and not exactly a big problem. Has a large memory of 160gb which is split into two internal hard drives, a decent size screen and is very portable. battery on full charge usually lasts me about an ahour 15 mins, but this could be different for ...
...netbook. Like all netbooks, this one does not come with a disc drive, but has two USB ports, so data can easily be transferred from PC to Laptop. Has XP running system, which in My personal opinion, is better than Vista, but thats for each person to choose themselves. Has built in wireless capability, and also the option to plug in an ethernet cable to get wired internet if you do not have the option of connecting to a wireless network where you ...

A very stylish, great looking netbook and a great keyboard!

Advantages: Keyboard's separated keys, great webcam, great looks
Disadvantages: A little pricey if you buy new, touchpad not great to use if you have dry fingers

...of these netbooks at a Toshiba Outlet and it really did look nice especially with the separated keys, and huge touchpad and I finally bought one this week from the Outlet. I'm pretty pleased with my purchase but there are a few things that I didn't like. Operating System My particular netbook came with Windows XP Home but most of them now come with Windows 7 Starter, because I purchased a reconditioned laptop from Toshiba Outlet it came with ...
...is down to the crap Toshiba puts on the machines, so with Windows 7 being out I knew that installing that would fix these issues and once installed, it booted up and offered to install 3 updates that installed the missing drivers for the system. Wireless worked out of the box. After that I installed Windows Live Messenger and behold my webcam worked, and it seems its much faster than XP too, and no more touchpad freezes either. Keyboard The ...

An overall good netbook

Advantages: Portability, good size keyboard, webcam of very good quality
Disadvantages: Touchpad will be annoying for some

I purchased this netbook from Currys for around £279 after having touchpad roughness issues with my first netbook purchase (I got a [different] replacement), and I'm quite happy with this netbook. This netbook comes with 1GB of memory, 160GB hard drive space (I believe), Intel Atom N270 processor, 10.1" screen and Windows XP Home Edition. The netbook I purchased from Currys came with a 3-cell battery with average battery life of up to 2 hours 40 ...
...although can get very greasy easily (especially the top cover and the screen itself - but a good wipe of the top cover is all that is needed to clean again). -- Keyboard -- The keyboard is quite nicely sized, may not be to all tastes but I can type on it pretty much fine - may take some adjustment as with most other netbooks keyboards but the keyboard is much better than what I've seen on other netbooks. The keyboard is quite loud during typing but ...

The crowded netbook market gets a new leader in the Samsung N110

Advantages: Well designed keyboard, fantastic screen and long battery life.
Disadvantages: Price creeping up, No N wireless, glossy lid picks up finger marks easily.

...the production line, the new Samsung N110 netbook is the replacement for the brilliant and very successful NC10 model. It is evolutionary rather than revolutionary in terms of specification, but as the NC10 was widely regarded as being one of the best netbooks, this is no real criticism. For the uninitiated, a netbook is a mini-notebook computer, usually with a less powerful processor, designed for very mobile users or those that need to perform ...
...CPU hardware. BATTERY Samsung claim 9.5hours for the standard 6 cell battery, but my experience with the screen on maximum brightness and with wireless enabled, is around 6-7 hours. This is still a very impressive total and to be honest is what you should expect from a computer that will mostly be used on the move and away from power sources. Frankly, a netbook with a 3 cell battery and barely 3 hours capacity doesn't make a lot of sense to me. KEYBOARD ...

Acer Aspires To Be A Proper Laptop, And Nearly Pulls It Off

Advantages: Very portable, excellent keyboard. Battery life OK but not what is stated
Disadvantages: Slow to boot from 'cold'.

...eye was caught by an Acer net-book sporting twice as much RAM, a 250 gigabyte hard drive, and all for £299 at Tesco's On-Line store, on a "double club-card points" deal - effectively a 2% discount, and available within 2 working days at a large branch of my choosing. I could even get a metallic maroon one to match my Lite-On drive. This one had a slightly larger screen at 11.6" diagonal in 16:9 widescreen format, and as such looks like a worthy replacement ...
...keys straight from a normal Acer laptop. All they've done is shave a millimeter off the gap surrounding them. These keys are the nicest and most well-proportioned I've poked two fingers at, at least on a portable. A less favourable first impression is the time taken to boot up. Of course, I'm forgetting that in order to give as much battery life as possible from what has to be a small battery (duuhhh!), the processors in these things aren't ...
