Advantages: Works as well as the consumer model Disadvantages: Works NO better than the consumer model
...This unit has been unreliable: many lost connections; oddities like being able to authenticate with only one wireless device at a time; even while authenticated, cannot ping the LAN. One day it all looks great, the next day there are problems.
I bought three of these units with 9db antennae. I bought a 27/7 service contract with a next business day product replacement. One case was 'escalated' only to learn, after FOUR weeks, that it s incomaptible with Windows CE5.0.
I then determined that one unit was faulty; they issued an RMA. Despite the next business day turnaround per the contract, it has been three days, and they've told me that it has been backordered.
Frankly, I would caution you to consider whether to do business with Netgear at all....
