    I was given this modem by Vodafone when I signed up for their 'At home' service. In case you are interested this gives you broadband and home phone if you are already a mobile customer. The modem is great, it looks sleek and modern. There are four lights, the bottom light shows it is plugged in to the mains, the second shows it is communicating with your computer, third shows the broadband connection is working and finally the fourth shows that you are actually connected to the internet.     The power switch is a manual button, after a while of switching on and off, it stopped working, and I had to keep switching on and off, because it gets hot after a while... what is worse, is that if I keep it on, and switch the computer on later, it may not read the signal, somehow, I have to switch the modem off then on again for the PC to get decent internet connection
