...It is a nice and lovely peice of equipment with major disadvantages.
Pros : Connects easily, not much technical information required, cool white finish
Cons : Rubbish battery [hardly lasts 2 hours max which is advertised], keeps loosing the network often, doesnot automatically reconnects to the network, poor sound quality, high bandwidth usage
More over on contacting Netgear, the support on this is not very good. Normally I like and use a lot of Netgear products, but this is one big mistake according to me what netgear know. They are introducing an upgraded model which has a web browser laster this year. That might be worth the price and it might be a good idea to hold back and wait for the new product before christmas. The price also seem quite high....

Advantages: Would be great if it worked Disadvantages: Buggy software, buggy hardware, terrible support
...I'm the unfortunate owner of this terrible product. The battery life is ridiculous. About two hours standby and one hour talk. You'll be lucky to talk for an hour, as it likes to reboot at random.
It no longer will automatically sign in. The people at Netgear tell me this is a Skype issue. I now get inverter whine whenever the backlight is on.
I purchased this phone hoping to be able to use Skype without using the computer. Also, it's nice to to have to wear a headset. If the thing worked the way they claim it does, I would be very happy. It can't log into most public WiFi hotspots, but my main use for it is at home - so that's a non-issue.
This phone is nothing short of worthless. I feel bad even selling it to someone. I wouldn't recommend this phone to a friend or enemy....

Advantages: Easy to setup easy WPA Settings Disadvantages: It disconnection while upgrading but it did do it at 3am in the morning
...Nice bit of kit by BT
Glad i didnt have to pay for it as i saw on their website its over £160.00
Excellent with built in VOIP Function which mean you can call people free on BTs Tarrif.
Nice and Fast
Wireless and Security is easy to settup with the WPA Code.
Also on the hub you have the option to have all phones that are just not connected to a hub to ring on the voip line.
I am very impressed by this bit of kit i honestly am bt provide a nice fast service with their broadband and also it upgrades automaticly the slight problem is it disconnects you from the internet while it is upgrading.
Easy to setup even a non literate people could do it unlike these other wireless hubs like netgear!
Welldone BT :)...

*** I should note that my Netgear router has v2 on the bottom of it - version 2 in case that makes a difference. The model number is the same though. ***

Having moved back into a friend's house recently, I found myself in the unusual position of living in a household with three PCs. And a lap top. And a Nintendo Wii. With all of this computing power and a mere hard wired 'net connection shared between two more
I work from home, and over the last few years I have been on a search to find a wireless router that could cope with the very thick walls of my house so that I would have a little more choice in which room I could work.
I am a bit of a fan of Netgear... more
