Do you think you have what it takes to reach the Netropolis Heights? You ready to challenge the top dog of “Netro”? ~ Netropolis is an online strategy game, it is free to play and there is no need to download anything onto your hard drive. The game is a big success on the world wide web and if you want to play then www.lineone.net/Tiscali offer you the chance to put your strategic skills to the test ~ Not an easy game , infact its very challenging but this online game will guarantee all gamers hours if not months of fun.
Forget Settlers, Civilisation, War Craft, and Age of Empires ~ Netropolis surpasses these games simply because it is the best strategy game of all time, a game that will have you hooked from the moment you start playing. This game can take you month’s even years to reach the top, as you try to outwit and use strategic planning to fight off your enemies. I can actually say I was one of those players who did reach the Netropolis heights ~ this is the place where all players have excelled at town, city and capital level, a place where not many reach. There are thousands of players online from all over the world, as everybody wants a piece of the action.
Netropolis is a business game ~ the objective of the game is to build a business/enterprise as you travel the globe. When you initially join, the registration is a bit similar to Ciao, where by you fill in your profile and then Netropolis will send you confirmation via e-mail. Once you receive the confirmation then you are ready to play the game. When first entering Netro you are given 50,000 to start with, this is the only money you are given to start building your enterprise, so spend wisely. You then decide which town you want to start your business. As a “Newbie” you will be weak and so you must tread carefully when first entering a town. If you mess with a top dog or a strong player then you will be in trouble ~ nobody shows mercy on this game as land is on demand not to mention pride & reputation is at stake. The word gets around quick when you’re a big player and so respect has to be given if you want to survive.
Although Netropolis has no set rules , you can go crazy and destroy players companies and take over the land and build there yourself ~ the only drawback with that approach is that if you haven’t got financial back up or allies then you will not get far & may have to start all over. There are four levels in this game, town ~ city ~ capital and Netropolis heights. You cannot enter a city unless you have conquered a town (players call it hero a town) and you cannot enter a capital unless you have conquered a city and to be able to enter the heights you need to conquer all three levels.
============= • ~ Town Level ~ • =============
The most basic level in the game, it is more a learning curve to prepare you for what’s out there – To hero in a town you need to own 5% of land and 2 million total worth. The total worth is the value of your cash plus the value of your company giving you an overall total worth. In towns you can build Camp sites, Hot dog stands, Burger bars, Large and small stores, pubs etc… All of which will bring you revenue as you try to establish yourself as part of the community in that town.
============ • ~ City Level ~ • ============
A big jump from town level – many players who hero in towns have problems in the city that a lot go back to another town in order to learn new ways of improving. The city is fast and furious and land is very precious. You will have to fight hard not only to gain land but also defend what you have. More buildings to pick from E.g.: Cinema’s, nightclubs, swimming pools, large hotels etc….. To hero in a city you need to own 10% of land and to be able to hold that land for 16 hours before actually conquering the town. Imagine some player coming a long and wiping you out just when you’re on the verge of heroing. Players at this level have millions and money on this game gives you a lot of power – the more millions you have the more destruction you can cause and the more it will keep your enemies at bay.
=============== • ~ Capital Level ~ • ===============
If you reach this stage and trust me many of you won’t then you are now in the big money and trading with experienced business players. Large transactions of money from one company to another is a normal everyday thing at this level, as players have to keep their enterprise running smoothly. A lot of players at capital level tend to respect each other’s land but when two big players disagree on something then you can see a clash of ego’s as war is a must to settle their differences – out comes the missiles, fire bombs, cherry bombs what ever weaponry they can use will be launched. And as a player online you can witness all of this going on, you can even join in if the person being attacked is part of you’re alliance.

The online game that is so addictive its untrue.
I started playing Netropolis in December, little did I know that I would become so addicted to it. I am now a member of a very large netro syndicate called the "Harpers Corporation", very serious players in the game they even have their own web page www.harpers.freeservers.com. With their help and backing it is easy to climb the ranks in netropolis without being arrested too ... ...WORLD DOMINATION, you take towns, then cities, then capitals and finally if you are a large enough organisation you can get into NETRO HEIGHTS. The game is all about strategy. If your strategy involves cheating then you are going to get somewhere.

...does more than compare. Netropolis is an online multi-player strategy game. Players from around the world play against each other 24-7, with the aim of owning the most land, having most money and ultimatly becoming a rich list member or netro heights hero.

To play netropolis all you need to do is log onto the site and register your details, select a company name, username etc. ... ...may wish to enter the netropolis heights, but that requires you to have every diploma possible(diplomas are awarded for heroing different maps). I may also mention at this point that the term heroing describes the event of a player winning a map. In the case of towns a player must own 5% of the map for a given time or hav a combine worth of 2 million. Of course one may wish to know how to make such money...it is done by building property on the squares ...

Netropolis is a buisness simulation brought to us by Line one. In this on-line game you take the role of a manager of a company and your job is to gain power and money, most importantly money, by any means that you can, these can be piecefully buying land and develooping it or by attacking other operators and destroying their buildings then taking them over. The areas you can play on are split up into towns, you need to win one before you can move ... ...available are GB, Canada, USA, Austraila. The graphics are not too high so that loading times are not too long. There are no sounds to be had but that would increase the loading times so i would say that it is useful. The game carries on even when you are not there so you need to keep and eye on it quite a lot. There are a list of buildings that you can build and more are available as you progress up levels, this is achieved by doing a certain number ...

An online buisness simulation created by lineone where the main aim is to be the biggest company by bombing others companies and making money anyway you possibly can. The main way to get ahead in the game is to put a lot of time in which can be quite costly if you are paying per minute for your internet access. Each player starts with a comapny with £50k and the aim is to build enough cash or land to 'hero' the town and to move onto the city. The ... ...to get and it can take a long time to get established, this is the main draw back of the game. Due to its lack of free land above town level it loses many of its newer players and therefore the game went and still is stagnant. Its high adtiveness though makes many continue to play and it still remains a popular online game. The best way to succeed is through friendship and alliance with other players. I have played Netro for over a year and I very quickly got sucked into this dog eat dog game of building yur own empire and working your way to the top.
The game basically relies on strategic planning and devious gameplay as you try to outsmart your competitors and gain more buildings and money.
You start off in a town of your choice and then you aquire land and build a choice of businesses which are designed to make profit and therefore increase ... ...progress to city level and then onto capitals. At ech level the game becomes more difficult because there is less land to obtain so peple will fight harder to keep what they already have.
Netro is very community orientated and the a large part of being sucessful is having the friends to help you achieve what you are trying to and also to help them do the same. People who play this game are mostly quite friendly and will often help the 'newbies' ...
