Advantages: Good venue, excellent location Disadvantages: Long queues, varied nights so each night won't appeal to everyone
The Plug is located above a block of offices right in the heart of the city centre and since opening its doors a few years ago it has established itself as one of the most popular venues in the city. It is a large club split into three different rooms; cleverly called Live, Earth and Neutral.
Live is the room where most of the live bands play and there is a stage and a room large enough to accommodate around 500 people standing. The other two rooms are usually used to play different styles of music but the design of the place means that it is possible to remove the false walls and create one large room with a capacity of around 1200. I seen a few live acts here including Jarvis Cocker and Glasvegas and on both of these occasions it was just one large room rather than the three smaller ones.

I love Doctor Who. I'll admit my knowedge of the original series is quite weak, but you can ask me anything about the 21st Century series' and I can rattle off a fair bit to you! So what is it anyway? Well Doctor Who is a sci-fi family show about a Time Lord named the Doctor. He travels around the galaxies through time and space in his blue box known as the Tardis (Time and Relative Dimension in Space), saving the innocent from the evil.
