Neutrogena Clean Replenishing Conditioner

Last week I ran out of my Aussie 3 Minute Miracle conditioner and only had time to nip to the local chemist for some new conditioner. Their choice was, to say the least, limited. In the end I plumped for Neutrogena Replenishing Conditioner at 3 quid for a 250 ml bottle. Neutrogena make that well-known hand-cream that does wonders for the gnarled, cracked mitts of hoary old Norwegian fishermen, right? I don't know if you're a packaging sucker like me, but I felt a serious spending urge when I saw this conditioner (and the matching shampoo)... after all, I love their skincare products and pink is my favourite colour so I whipped out my purse... and was very disappointed. This is not conditioner. It doesn't even qualify. It just doesn't have the necessary gumption to make my coarse, curly hair untangle, which made using it somewhat of a painful experience! If you have trouble with your curls, go for Clairol Herbal Essences instead, it's the only thing that can de-tangle my mop! ... more

OK, so I too was pretty impressed by the packaging on this one. It stands serenely on the shelf in the shop (which is usually that of a much-frequented Boots) as it has quite a calming, but seductive appeal to it. The bottle itself is shaped like the ideal female shape (according to white Amercian bougeoisie standards of beauty anyway) - it is slightly wider at the top and slims down seductively towards the bottom. FIRSTLY, I JUST WANT TO SAY... This review is about Neutrogena clean replenishing shampoo. One thing to bear in mind is that there are many products in the neutrogena clean range, which come in different coloured bottles for different hair types. This shampoo is designed for normal, balanced hair, and so if this is not your hair type I can tell you straight off that you are not going to get the optimum results from this shampoo and should research the product designed for your own hair type.
