As a wash, it is brilliant. It comes out in a runny white liquid and I always find that I use too much, the bottle I have at the moment feels like is has a very few exfoliating things in it, i can sometimes feel one of two when I massage the wash into my skin (maybe i just need to shake the bottle ... ...washed your face! I believe Neutrogena also do a deep clean wash with special particles in it which feel like ice, it's not part of this range but i imagine that feels great too.
Using the product as a mask is a fab idea. It gives you that amazing cold feeling all over, I find that I use quite a lot because if you put it on and then put some more on the top, you can feel the freshness even more and you know that the top layer is working. ... more

As a wash, it is brilliant. It comes out in a runny white liquid and I always find that I use too much, the bottle I have at the moment feels like is has a very few exfoliating things in it, i can sometimes feel one of two when I massage the wash into my skin (maybe i just need to shake the bottle though!) Anyway, it's really lovely and creamy to massage around your face. As soon as it touches my skin it feels refreshing and after about 10 seconds it can feel really cold and exhilarating - you just know that it's got to be doing something good! To wash off, it's quite stubborn and you'll find that you need a few rinses, I also find I always miss a bit around my hairline or between my eyebrows.
Also - word of warning here - check your neck and the bit of your jaw that you can't see unless you tilt your head upwards. The amount of times I have got to the end of the day and suddenly someone will say to me - you've got some white stuff under your ear - or something like that. It's so embarrassing (but it will rub off!)
After washing off the wash and drying my face, my skin still feels fresh and slightly cold. It also looks fresh and new, sometimes I find that my skin doesn't fancy being one colour - there'll be a red area and a pink area and a white area, which is why i wear make-up, anyways, with this wash, i get a nice skin coloured face!! (with rosy cheeks of course)
Also, on the subject of make-up, after using a toner and moisturiser I am 100% certain that my skin is so so clean and fresh that however much make-up I pile on, I wont get cloggy pores. I get the odd spot here and there but i've gone through periods of 'trying to find a better wash' and if I go mad for 'spot-bashing' I only end up aggrivating my dry patches and having to deal with peely bits.
In other words, this wash can be used by people of most skin-types, it is gentle enough on the dry areas that you may just feel a little tight, but nothing a dab of moisturiser wont instantly fix! On greasy skin, the grease is gone, but I must state that this is not a harsh wash and if you have a very oily skin you may want something stronger, or choose a toner which is very astringent to follow the wash. If you have normal skin, just use it for the feeling it gives you, you really feel like you've washed your face! I believe Neutrogena also do a deep clean wash with special particles in it which feel like ice, it's not part of this range but i imagine that feels great too.

With some masks i just think if i put any more on it's going to be a waste because it wont actually be in contact with my skin, this one you know its not a waste. And even though I use a lot, the bottle lasts for a surprisingly long time, i can't remember when i bought my current bottle but it must have been over 2 months ago.
So the mask just gives you that enhanced exhilarating feeling, it doesn't dry out your skin so you can leave it on for as long as you feel you want to look white! It doesn't dry hard and crusty like many other masks, it doesn't really dry at all, which is a good thing because you can still talk without flaking it everywhere. To wipe off, i use a flannel, it takes a few attempts especially if you use lots like i do. I think my experience with all face masks is ruined by this, next time i think im just gonna splash water on my face and see if it eventually comes off just like the wash does. Using a flannel makes me feel like i'm putting something else on to my skin and negating the effects of the mask. You still feel really fresh though, and you can see results.
So the results - clear pores and a tingly clean skin. My forehead gets a sort of clean shine to it, like it's been polished!! Skin feels soft to touch as well. Basically its the effects of the wash but doubled. If you wait too long before using a moisturiser, a slight tight feeling will set in, but it really is only slight.
The packaging is an orange bottle which fits on to the rest of the range and stands out very well. The opening is a flip top which also acts as the base to stand the bottle on. The product comes out when you squeeze the bottle and the area inside the cap does get pretty messy, but it's easy to clean.
You can buy this at Boots, Superdrug and most supermarkets too, it's very widely available, as is the rest of the range. I'm not sure how much it is offhand but it's a good price, about £2 - £4 i suppose.
I think it's a great product for keeping you really really clean and getting rid of any spot worries!

I must be a marketing man's dream, advertise this on telly in the middle of Hollyoaks and I'll buy it!! They are obviously trying to appeal to the blokes too by having Kristin Kreuk from Smallville as their "face" of choice. Seriously though, I am always on the lookout for a good facewash as I am quite prone to oily skin and all that comes with it. I love a face mask although I am never especially convinced that they actually do anything other than ... ...them from time to time though so I thought my prayers had been answered when I saw this advertised as it is a facewash and a mask in one.
I will start with the face mask. I find that some masks can be quite difficult to apply as they are too thick but this is nice and light and easy to apply and smooth over the areas of your face where you want it.

...for about 10 years now, Neutrogena cleansing pads. These were the only cleansing pads that ever worked for my acne. This product does not exist in the UK, it is only available in the USA. I have tried to inquire with Neutrogena about whether they would want to market it over here, but they told me that their distributor Johnson & Johnson does not intend to distribute this product here at this time.
Since importing from the USA does not make much ... ...products. This was my first pick and I was quite impressed.

...& Mask is made by Neutrogena so a well known brand. The product is slightly different to other face washes on the market as it can be used daily as a regular cleanser and weekly as a 5 minute face mask. I thought this was quite a good idea. It claims to help prevent blemishes and cleanse deep down into pores leaving your skin soft & healthy looking.

The face wash is thick and white with some slight, grainy elements in it which help exfoliate the skin. There's not much of an odour about it which is good as unnecessary perfumes can irritate your skin. You only need a 10p piece sized amount which you apply to your face and then rinse off. ~~ ease of use ~~
It's not a foaming wash so it doesn't lather, it's just like rubbing cream ...

I love this! And 2 products in one, what could be better! no wonder it's been voted product of the year 2006.
My skin is temperamental to say the least - it can vary from oily, dry and spotty in the space of a day, and the only products I had found to calm it down and keep it under control was from Clinique. However, it's not very user friendly to be carrying soap and soap dish and a bottle of toner each time I go to the gym. This is where the Neutrogene ... ...a mouthful!).
I love the fact that this can either be used as an everyday facial wash or a weekly mask. Using it as a wash, you just need to squeeze a little bit into your palms, add some water to create lather and massage onto your wet face before rinsing. It leaves my face clean and tingly feeling, and super soft whe moisturiser is added (and there's no need for a separate toner, as the water seems to do the trick). Although it doesn't have any ...

Its a 2-in-1 wash and mask and is part of Neutrogena's Visibly clear range. It comes in a large tube which is orange and grey in colour.
Its an everyday cleanser that can be used in two different ways, either as a daily wash or as a weekly 5 minute mask for deep cleaning and ... ...- All you need to do is squeeze a small amount into your hand ( a little goes a long way). Just add water and work it into a foamy lather, then just apply to a wet face. Rince with water afterwards
As a weekly mask - Apply a thin layer over the face avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 5 minutes and then rince off with water.
