Advantages Sexy, Fashionable, Cheap, Can Be Layered

Disadvantages No warmth!

Most people are well aware by now that bandeau's are majorly in season right now, and pretty much everyone owns atleast one. I personally have got 10 or so now purely because they're so handy! A bandeau is pretty much a boob tube with a fancy name and is shaped to come just under the bust to give a 'fuller' look. Every shop is selling them right now, or atleast the major brands. Primark, new look, dotty p's, matalan, topshop.. they're everywere. New look by far is my favourite to buy bandeau's from as i find they're really true to size. I did try a primark one and it drowned me! New look's prices are, as everyone knows, very reasonable, and at £3.99 per top you can't go wrong!

The bandeau's are really nice and stretchy, with an elasticated top and hemline. Because they're so tight they give support. They can be worn with a strapless bra or can be worn just by them selves, which i do, however i find it embarrising if i ever get a 'nipple hard on', as it's really noticeable. I've also worn chicken filletts under them and they hold them well as well as supporting my boobs without need to adjust or pull the top up, however if you were to run at full speed while wearing this i doubt it'd keep much contained.

It's soft and comfy but will not keep you warm! Don't wear it on its own unless you're certain of the weather. I made the drastic fail of wearing mine with hotpants and heels to a theme park back in may as it was 25ish degrees. Little did i know about 2 hours in, the wind was horrendous and it was spitting with rain! I should of taken an extra layer but i didn't, so my boyfriend ended up forcing me to wear his XL hoodie! So embarrising. I'm sure you'll have more common sense than me not to attempt the above lol.

The top shows quite a bit of flesh; belly, arms.. the only thing it really covers is my boobs and a bit of my back! It emphasizes cleavage which is great. It can be worn on its own if you're as daring as me with a skirt, jeans, shorts etc, or under a sheer shirt, a dropwhole vest (where it exposes the person who is wearing its' sides so the beandea prevents side-boob or a boob making an escape via the side.) As it's seemless there are no worries of it falling apart or getting tatty. I love wearing mine under my peter pan collar skirt. It's extremely see through so rather than take it back as it'd be unwearable with just a bra underneath, i decided to try my bandeau underneath and it looks lovely; it's a top ideal for layering. There are 5 colours available:
  • Black
  • White
  • Aqua Blue
  • Navy Blue
  • Orange

The top is 92% Nylon & 8% Elastane. Reccomended to be washed at 30 degrees and i've not had any trouble with washing or drying it. Not ironed any of my bandeau's yet as not sure if they're suitable for ironing. Silly newlook didn't mention that!Sizes available are S, M, L. I'm a size 8 and bought an S, although clingy and tight, it fits well - i'd reccomend an S if you're a size 10 or under. M is likely 12-14 and L a 16 or 18. Overall a versatile and cheap top which is ideal for everyday use.
