BerlitzPocketGuides are very useful to take away with you when you go travelling. They are packed with great information and very nicely presented. Easy to follow sections. As they are pocket size they are very easy to carry in ones hand luggage and I now have a collection of them on my bookshelf. They are packed with current info as well as historical information about the country.There is a handy map inside the cover which can be useful.It gives very good tips on how to get the best of your trip and the best places to see also I like how it is written in very easy language to follow and it just gets straight to the point with no waffle. So if you are after an cheap but good travel guide then you can not do better than to purchase a BerlitzGuide they cover most places in the world

I found these little books very informative. They always have a detailed map on the inside cover. The first few pages are usually on the history of the destination.
There are recommends for Hotels, Restaurants, Shopping, places of interests.
On one of the pages there are handy hints for your holiday. Like for example ;

I am the sort of person who enjoys planning for their holiday. I love researching our destination and I devour as much information as I can before I go as I find that if I am knowledgeable about a place I enjoy myself much more. Embarking on a cruise last year was my idea of heaven as it gave me ample opportunity to research lots of different places.
