I recently had to go up to Newcastle for an interview for Medical School. It was the most hostile atmosphere I have ever been in, but thats just the interview panel (I think). Newcastle had been my first choice Uni for ages, and I had been up there about 6 or 7 times, to the city, Uni, and just all over the place. It is a very popular Uni, but obviously the courses vary, and Id on't know much about those, however it has an excellent reputation for Medicine, and also for Politics (my friend's doing that). But overall, the atmosphere, nightlife and city itself, is what most people go there for. And thats what attracted me to it. It's just such a popular place to go, and the only person I've met who didn't want to go there was a girl who came form Newcastle, and that was because she wanted to get away. Also the accomodation you get there is amazing. Especially on Leazes Terrace. You have a house with about 6 people, and even a weekly cleaner. All this attracts me. More sleep + more alcohol = more mess, but a cleaner = less mess + more sleep. Brilliant.
