NOT JUST ASHLEY COLE & CHERYL TWEEDY. BUT MOSTLY.
Review of News of the World by nathaninnit

Advantages: Well presented and illustrated, a toddlers newspaper
Disadvantages: Keep out the reach of children, no smut spared

...of small format giving the news in condensed form, usually with illustrated, often sensational material. broad - sheet - noun 1. Chiefly British. a newspaper printed on large paper, usually a respctable newspaper rather than a tabloid. Seems even the dictionary is against News of the World, as at the very search of the broadsheets you get the tabloids cut down to size for their cut throat attitude. I think it's time to get something out in the air ...
...role on 'Have I Got News For You?' (2002) As if the rest of what I have described doesn't sound showbiz enough, the paper does have its own two-page spread especially for showbiz in a column by Rav Singh. You know, he's one of those people that would like to have you believe he rubs shoulders with celebrities and gets incredibly exclusives but I think it's more about his ability to use an internet search. Britney Spears is probably the most frequent ... Read review

I Have No Time for Corny Puns
Review of Time by SandyJoe

Advantages: Good value if you can get a subscription deal
Disadvantages: Expensive at cover price, a bit U.S. centric

...since I started subscribing to Time magazine. I just happened to get a great offer sent through in the junk mail for a year's subscription for £19.99, including a free travel bag. It's a weekly publication with a cover cost of £2.50 so it's not hard to work out this was a pretty good deal and as a bargain junkie it was one that I was powerless to resist. All in all I'm pretty happy with what I get each week in this magazine. I do find the American ...
...thereafter can access all archived Time articles dating back to 1985, plus other articles going back as far as 1923. As I've said, it's a weekly magazine, so it's quite thin, about half a cm thick. I find it ideal for a train or tube journey. I tend to chuck it out afterwards, being a current affairs magazine, it doesn't really lend itself towards collection (especially when you can access past articles online anyhow). The cover usually corresponds ... Read review

...my letterbox every Thursday throughout the year. I have always enjoyed reading this Newspaper and I actually look forward to receiving it. It is probably true to say that it has an added appeal because it does not cost me anything to buy and I do not even need to make a journey to acquire it. On average each publication contains around 35 pages of news. The format is the same each week and there are various regular features. There is also a fair ... Read review

The (parochial) News Of The World
Review of Cambridge Evening News by greenierexyboy

Advantages: Local news, for local people
Disadvantages: It helps to have the life outlook of Genghis Khan

...was from here, y'know), is Cambridge itself. We Are Really Sorry About The Whole Jeffrey Archer Thing Cambridge (and Ely, though on a smaller scale), are pretty brazen in presenting their historical facades. After over twenty years here, it's hard for me to be objective, but there is a plethora of superb architecture to be enjoyed (if you enjoy architecture). An awful lot of tourists seem to do just that, and in summer it's a never-ending ...
...area's primary factual organ, the Cambridge Evening News, thrusts itself. 'I Read The News Today, Oh Boy...' The News is based in the village of Milton, just north of the city's northern bypass. Sited (symbolically, some might say) on an industrial estate whose entrance is guarded by a food stand bearing the timeless insignia 'Milton Kebabs', the building was constructed as a printing works for the paper in 1991, becoming its HQ in 1998, ...
