The Sun-gossip/scandal /some news Advantages: good tabloid gossip paper Disadvantages: not to everyones taste The Sun newspaper has a daily circulation of around 3 million copies a day which makes it the most popular and read newspaper in the UK. It has the second highest circulation of any english language newspaper in the world. I guess people like less detailed and maybe less factual news and stories which stir controversy and are more items of gossip than news. The Sun is a tabloid newspaper so you kind of know what to expect when you pick up a copy ... ...newspaper with pages about half the size of a standard (broadsheet) newspaper. A tabloid compared to a broadhseet also has shorter and more condensed articles and a large part of the newspaper is in picture form. In more recent times though the word tabloid has become associated with words like gossip, scandal and exclusive. In terms of the most scandalous and latest gossip, The Sun is usually the newspaper of choice for many. Free Metro Paper Advantages: It's free , Interesting, Disadvantages: None ...a metro for free to anyone who is passing. I am yet to see a person refuse this paper! It is definately worth a read, it makes journy's a lot easier and stress free. If you can't say anything nice... oh, forget it! Advantages: None, none, none. Disadvantages: Froths like the Cappuccino of despair. ...been happening to me over the past couple of weeks. My voyeurism receptors have been going haywire and I can’t for the life of me comprehend why. Portsmouth / Havant and Waterlooville Evening News Advantages: A platform to air your views Disadvantages: um .... carbon prints on your hands??? This is my opinoin of local news papers in general. but is also based on my own experience with my own local news paper. To explain the background breifly - A few months ago I had become seriously ill due to an allergic reation to some anti-biotics, it was in the early hours of the morning and I was completely alone in the house. NOT JUST ASHLEY COLE & CHERYL TWEEDY. BUT MOSTLY. Advantages: Well presented and illustrated, a toddlers newspaper Disadvantages: Keep out the reach of children, no smut spared ...of small format giving the news in condensed form, usually with illustrated, often sensational material. broad - sheet - noun 1. Chiefly British. a newspaper printed on large paper, usually a respctable newspaper rather than a tabloid. Seems even the dictionary is against News of the World, as at the very search of the broadsheets you get the tabloids cut down to size for their cut throat attitude.
