The Sun-gossip/scandal /some news

Advantages: good tabloid gossip paper
Disadvantages: not to everyones taste

The Sun newspaper has a daily circulation of around 3 million copies a day which makes it the most popular and read newspaper in the UK. It has the second highest circulation of any english language newspaper in the world. I guess people like less detailed and maybe less factual news and stories which stir controversy and are more items of gossip than news. The Sun is a tabloid newspaper so you kind of know what to expect when you pick up a copy ...
...newspaper with pages about half the size of a standard (broadsheet) newspaper. A tabloid compared to a broadhseet also has shorter and more condensed articles and a large part of the newspaper is in picture form. In more recent times though the word tabloid has become associated with words like gossip, scandal and exclusive. In terms of the most scandalous and latest gossip, The Sun is usually the newspaper of choice for many. If you want something ...

Advantages: None, none, none.
Disadvantages: Froths like the Cappuccino of despair.

...been happening to me over the past couple of weeks. My voyeurism receptors have been going haywire and I can’t for the life of me comprehend why. Maybe there’s something in the air; the pleasant autumnal ambience calling for a starkly contrasting texture, a balancing of Yin and Yang. Maybe I’ve got some unidentifiable illness which has rewired my brain to seek out inherently nasty things. Maybe I’m just a sad pillock with nothing better to do. Whatever; ...
...am talking, of course, about the Daily Mail’s website. Before I begin this review in earnest, I feel I should address some of my own issues. Think of yourself, dear reader, as my unpaid psychoanalyst. I guess my problem is that I hate the Daily Mail for its hatred of – well – everything, but as anyone who has read any of my rants will realise, I hate a lot of things too. This makes me a terrible hypocrite and leads me to a guilt complex and lots ...

Portsmouth / Havant and Waterlooville Evening News

Advantages: A platform to air your views
Disadvantages: um .... carbon prints on your hands???

This is my opinoin of local news papers in general. but is also based on my own experience with my own local news paper. Everyone knows what a news paper is, from reading about stocks in The Times or The Standard to gauping at page 3 girls in The Sun. It is a means of informing the nation about current events, whether nationaly or localy. Everyone has their own local paper, and im guessing quite a few of you have written in, either to submit your ...
...own. Well this is my story .... To explain the background breifly - A few months ago I had become seriously ill due to an allergic reation to some anti-biotics, it was in the early hours of the morning and I was completely alone in the house. I phoned the out of hours doctor who said he couldnt visit me, if I wanted some anti-sickness tablets and replacement anti-biotics I would have to drive the 8 mile journy to the surgery and collect them myself ...

NOT JUST ASHLEY COLE & CHERYL TWEEDY. BUT MOSTLY.

Advantages: Well presented and illustrated, a toddlers newspaper
Disadvantages: Keep out the reach of children, no smut spared

...of small format giving the news in condensed form, usually with illustrated, often sensational material. broad - sheet - noun 1. Chiefly British. a newspaper printed on large paper, usually a respctable newspaper rather than a tabloid. Seems even the dictionary is against News of the World, as at the very search of the broadsheets you get the tabloids cut down to size for their cut throat attitude. I think it's time to get something out in the air ...
...role on 'Have I Got News For You?' (2002) As if the rest of what I have described doesn't sound showbiz enough, the paper does have its own two-page spread especially for showbiz in a column by Rav Singh. You know, he's one of those people that would like to have you believe he rubs shoulders with celebrities and gets incredibly exclusives but I think it's more about his ability to use an internet search. Britney Spears is probably the most frequent ...
