I greatly admired Caron Keating but would never have read this book had I not been given it. This was because I knew it would be very sad and I was not over-keen on GloriaHunniford. How my opinion has changed. Gloria has shown what a true family bond means. She has shown how brave both she and her daughter were during such a difficult time. At times I felt like asking why everyone gave in to Caron (prior to being ill), but having read the book I understand that it was simply because she was Caron.
Yes this book has a sad ending but that is known from the start. We learn not to be selfish. We learn to appreciate one another. We learn to accept others. We learn so much thanks to Caron and her mother. ...

called 'nexttoyou' then the first chapter is about Caron's last few days and her final journey home from Switzerland to die at her mum's house. This is the most moving part of the book as Gloria tells us of the final moments she shared with Caron.
Then the next few chapters are about Caron's early years,
starting from the night she was born, her childhood, her relationship with her parents and siblings, her early working life, her marriage and children and, from this, we build up a picture of her character, her strengths and weaknesses, which all becomes relevant later on in the book. There are many happy stories and funny stories inluded in these chapters.
