I had been smoking for four years until I decided to quit. I tried stopping without any aids but failed miserably! Then tried the gum but that didnt help much either! I had depression and anxiety along with a few other mental health disorders and the cigarettes did help with that. Finally though i decided it wasnt worth the risk to my health, despite the fact they helped my mental health and I decided I would try the lozenges after advice from a few of my friends.
They are brilliant!! I have not had a cigarette since, They do have 2mg of nicotine in them which is about 4 times what is in a cigarette but they dont have any of the other chemicals and are therefore much better for you! They also stop you wanting a cigarette at all and they last longer than a cigarette would have. Another positive is that I did not had any withdrawel symptoms (although this is probably because i was still getting the nicotine!)
They cost roughly around £18 for 72, so where as cigarettes would cost me roughly £16 for 80 they are more expensive.. however, as Ive said the lozenges last longer so you have less in a day then you would cigarettes.
The taste isnt too bad. As far as im aware they come in three flavours: original, mint and fruit. I preferred the mint although the fruit wasnt too bad.. the worst by far was the original!
The only problem I found was that you end up addicted to the lozenge! However i found it easy enough to come off them by replacing them with polo's (Not too sure its a good thing to keep replacing one thing with another but it worked for me!)
Pros: Really works! Tastes ok
Cons: More expensive than cigarettes Just as addictive as cigarettes May make you feel nauseous probably due to the extra nicotine
