"...was a boxer named Sonny.' Night Train does a good job in running through Liston's early boxing career to a point where he has become noticed by the boxing press and feared by other heavyweights. The author makes good use of quotes and newspaper reports from the time too. 'He hit me like nobody should be hit,' remembers opponent Marty Marshall. 'I was paralyzed. I just couldn't move.'
