Nickelodeon is a kids’ channel, which is presented by two ladies and a man, who all look in their twenties. Monya (moo-nia) and Ulanda (you-land-uh) are both sisters. Monya has short, dark brown hair and Ulanda has shoulder-length ginger hair.

NICKELODEON PROGRAMMES

SISTER SISTER – a programme about two sixteen year old black identical twins. They were separated at birth, brought up by two different people, met at the shopping mall and are now living together. As they grow up, Tia and Tamera go through lots of different teenage phases which they eventually sort out. There is normally a double episode between 7:30 and 8:30 in the evening.

TWO OF A KIND is also about twins, but Ashley and Mary Kate are both very different from Tia and Tamera. They’re around twelve and have short blonde hair. When they were young, their mother died and now they’re having to cope with teenage crises without her. But Kerry (the student babysitter) helps them, as she goes to Kevin’s (the twins’ Dad) university. Nickelodeon doesn’t really show Two Of A Kind much anymore, but I think they should.

RENFORD REJECTS is a sort of comedy that tells stories about a disgraceful football team, who didn’t make it into the school one. Their rivals, the Renford Razors, are very tough in and out of a match. They pick fights with everyone, especially Bruno De Gradi. Bruno’s real name is Barry Grady, but he likes to act Italian all the time. This programme isn’t just about football, it’s about lots of other things too.

RUGRATS – everybody must know this one! I think it’s been running since about 1993. It includes loveable characters such as Tommy. He is the bravest baby of them all and his parents are Didi and Stu. Tommy, like most babies, barely has any hair and keeps his trusty screwdriver safely in his nappy. Chuckie is a scaredy cat with bright ginger hair and glasses. Chuckie and Tommy are best friends.

In the new Rugrats movie (Rugrats in Paris), Chuckie’s Dad finds himself a girlfriend and Chuckie gets a new sister named Kimmy. Angelica is a bossy five year old who gets the babies to do everything for her, such as stealing the cookies. She’s one of those characters who you love to dislike.

SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS is a rather weird cartoon, which is set under the sea. I can’t tell you much about it because I hardly ever watch it, but I do know that Spongebob works in a burger shop called ‘Krabby Pattys’.

SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH is a programme I never miss. When the Sabrina marathon (the whole series of Sabrina shown continuously for two weeks) was on, I never stopped watching it unless I had to. Sabrina, at the age of sixteen, discovers she has magical powers and on her sixteenth birthday, her aunts give her a cauldron and an enormous magical book. At first, Sabrina thinks it’s all a joke, but she soon realises the truth.

OVERALL
Nickelodeon is my favourite children’s TV channel, because I like nearly all the programmes. The fun of it never stops for me, and I don’t think it ever will!

(P.S. : I’m not sure whether all of the names of the characters are spelt properly, and I couldn’t find out.)
