Before going to bed, pour 20ml into the handily provided cup. Drink. Go to bed. Sleep. Make sure you have LOTS of water near you, though, as you will wake up thirsty (more on that in a minute).

HAVE YOU GOT A NIGHT NURSE TO LOOK AFTER YOU

Advantages: Can help you get a good nights sleep
Disadvantages: Can make you groggy in the morning

...day but it is the night time that I cant bare especially not being able to get to sleep. One time I was really bad with it my wife bought me Night Nurse and I have to admit it done the trick. Night Nurse comes in different forms the most popular one the liquid which comes in bottles of 160ml costing approximately £4.49 from Boots, yes I know it is a bit expensive but I can assure you it does the trick. Also available is the Night Nurse Capsules where ...
...is Day and Night Nurse capsules in packs of 24 at £4.59. To be honest I have only tried the liquid so really cant comment on the others but I am sure they will work just as well. Along with the bottle there is a measuring cup provided and you pour the appropriate dose of the green liquid which is 20ml into the measuring cup and swallow not long before going to bed It doesn't take long until its working, I usually take mine and have a hot drink then ...

Better than a bed bath any day !!

Advantages: works quickly - quite effective at stopping a runny nose - aids sleep
Disadvantages: price - taste - groggy in the mornings

...up a 160ml bottle of Night nurse for £4.79. Night nurse claims not to cure the symptoms of a cold but to help illeviate them in addition to aiding a restful night of sleep. Unlike the Day nurse product Night nurse really only should be taken at night as it does make you drowsy very rapidly and driving and operating machinary is not advisable at all. The package does say that the dose for an adult is 4 5ml spoonfuls in any 24 hour period. Personally ...
...cold symptoms I started using Night nurse. My nose did dry up significantly and the redness around my nostrils subsequently went down. My cough took longer to go away but that could have something to do with the smoking! The liquid did soothe my throat and take away some of the burning sensation - The only thing I didn't like was the taste that isn't pleasant at all. It's foul and I sometimes retch after drinking. The liquid is quite thick and seems ...

The Secret To My Cold Relief

Advantages: Quick & Effective Cold Relief
Disadvantages: A Bit Pricey, Contains Ink and Carbohydrates

I've found the secret to relief from colds. It's not *my* secret to cold relief, it's the secret to *my* cold relief. Like most "over the counter" medicines, some work for one person while others work for another. But I've always sworn that when I get a cold, no matter how severe, a day on Day Nurse and a good night's sleep aided by its sister product, the imaginatively titled Night Nurse, and within twenty-four hours (48 if it's a really bad cold) I'm as good as new again. I have to be a little more specific than that though. You can get both Day and Night Nurse in capsule form or liquid form. For the remedy to work for me, the Day Nurse has to be capsuled, the Night Nurse has to be liquid. If it's any combination other than this, I'm screwed - it can be a week before the cold is fixed. I have absolutely no explanation ...

Review of Day Nurse

STOP SNIVLING WILL YOU.

Advantages: stops the coughing and runny nose.
Disadvantages: none if used according to instructions.

I am writing about Night Nurse because I know that it works. WHAT IS NIGHT NURSE ? It is a liquid which is green and is a medicine designed to help a sufferer of a cold or cough to sleep without the congestion bothering them too much. It is made by SmithKline Beecham. HOW DOES IT WORK ? Night nurse combines Paracetemol, Promathazine Hydrochloride, and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide. The syrup also containsglucose, ethyl alcohol polyethylene glycol, sodium cyclamate, acesulfame K, sodium acid citrate, sodium benzoate (E 211), medicated flavours, colours quinoline yellow (E 104) and patent blue V (E131), and water. The paracetamol content of the syrup works on the pain of colds and coughs, whereas the Promathazine is an anti histamine that works on a runny nose and cold symptoms. The glucose eases a sore throat ...

Review of Night Nurse Capsules

The King of Night Time Cold Remedies

Advantages: It works for me, fast-acting.
Disadvantages: It won't work for everybody

As the season of coughs, colds and flu is upon us, I thought it would be appropriate to pen this review of my favourite remedy for a good nights sleep. Night Nurse is made by SmithKline Beecham and is supplied in two forms ? 160ml bottle of liquid or a box of 10 capsules. NOTE: This opinion only relates to the liquid form ? I do not consider the capsules to be nearly as effective. What is it? A dark green coloured liquid supplied in a glass bottle, with child proof lid, along with a 20ml measuring cup. In most pharmacies/supermarkets, it is kept behind the counter so you have to ask for it. It is for the night-time relief of the symptoms of colds, chills and flu, including headache, shivers, aches and pains, sore throat pain, runny nose and a dry, tickly, non-productive cough. Does that sound wonderful?? Believe me, when you are ...
