I have visited many different sports shops in my life but I have never come across anything quite like Nike Town. The shop is on three levels just by Oxford Circus tube station and I was somewhat bewildered when I first entered the store as Niketown does not look like your average sports store.
Fortunately there was someone on hand to advise people where to go to find what they were looking for. I was looking to buy a pair of shorts to wear in the gym and was directed to the orange zone on the second floor. You get to the second floor via two escalators and travel past several other tempting areas.
The merchandise is displayed to maximum effect and you don't feel cramped at all. Although I couldn't immediately find a sales assistant on this floor I quickly located what I was looking for and proceeded to the till without any waiting or queuing. I thought that the prices were reasonable and certainly comparable with our local health club.
The shop is helpfully zoned off in various areas, Tennis, Rugby, Soccer etc and there are plenty of interesting distractions around like a table football table. All in all I would recommend a visit to Niketown, it is quite an experience and you will be impressed by the range of goods available.
