I bought this heater because my bedroom has two outside walls and as it's a downstairs extension one of those 'walls' is a patio door and so, especially in the winter I needed some extra warmth in my room.
I went out and after looking around at a few different heaters I eventually decided on the Nikkai Electric heater. There were three reasons for my choice:
1. Id had the rectangular shaped heaters and found that although they did effectively heat up the room it took a while for you to get the full benefit of the heater, I hoped that this fan heater would be quicker at heating up the room.
2. There were two different heat settings: 350W and 700W. These would allow me to adjust the amount of heat I wanted from it depending on the weather, how long wed had the central heating on etc
3. The price! It was only £9.99. Although ...
Advantages: Cheap, given the wherewithal to finish it cheaply. Disadvantages: Somewhat limited facilties. Crap manual

Yes, it'll get you Freeview, and yes, it'll let you record one thing whilst watching another, so the facility afforded by a VCR and an analogue TV is ...
Advantages: Lots of products, components etc. Disadvantages: Customer services. Sometimes poor quality products
Bought an in car touchscreen dvd player Nikkai A74HQ. Looks good on the box, good spec but everything begins to unravel once opened. Irresponsive touchscreen, unclear display (except when showing DVD video), mp3 player that's impossible to navigate track, noisy and slow media reading, generally poor quality built. And finally, faulty screen angle adjustment. Called maplin about fault, informed unit must be uninstalled, repackaged and returned to store. Returned item the next day because of fault but was informed it had to be sent for testing and verification before refund could be given. Offered immediate replacement or wait up to 14 days for refund. Having lost confidence in product opted for refund. Outcome - no product, no money, installation and uninstallation costs, appalling service. Maplin? Good when product works, terrible ...
