Nikon 1 J1

Photography is a beautiful art. Especially when it is a hobby, you get a lot of time to explore and make your findings about the art of photography. When I started photography as a hobby, I wanted the best camera in the field to suit my needs. Though it was just a hobby, I wanted to do it perfectly, with the best of its kind!

When I was asking my friends for suggestions, one of them suggested 'Nikon J1'.
He was so confident about it that he almost coerced me into buying it. I was really excited about my new Nikon J1. I was still suspicious if it would help me improve my photography skills. But when I started using it, I felt like I couldn't have had a better start !

I would like to share my experience with this camera by stating its plus and minus from my point of view.

PLUS POINTS

*Usually, DSLR cameras are quite heavy, I've heard. But this one is very handy. It fits in nicely in a large pocket and is easy to carry around anywhere. *I was impressed with the LCD screen. Also the make and quality, that is, the build quality was amazing ! It was a pleasure to use this camera!

• This camera has built in flash feature which does a rather decent job. There are a wide range of settings and avail abilities on the Nikon J1, which are very useful. I felt so, as a beginner.
  
• I feel that this camera works equivalent to a DSLR. The time it consumes to focus on the object that is being aimed at, is so quick !

*I was amazed at the Point and Shoot feature, in which pressing the shutter button immediately clicks a picture, without consuming time to focus on the objects and adjust the lighting's and stuff.*I really feel that the image quality is awesome! The frame rates available in continuous shooting modes is awesome. The photos I took have come out remarkably well. It gave me the feel of a professional photographer. I even tried taking a photo of a dark street with an overfilled dustbin. The photo looked like it was taken in day light! Amazing isn't it ?

*Another striking feature of this camera is video ability. I have always wanted to use a camera that provided excellent quality videos. This camera's video capability is very good. I am really satisfied with the video quality. I shot a video of my family members during a family get together. Trust me, it looked like a professional film! And everyone complimented me!

MINUS POINTS

*I found that after I took a photo, all the photos I took until then are displayed on the screen. By half pressing the shutter button, those photos got cleared and allowed me to take another photo. This feature, I thought, was really bugging. I personally din't like it as it interrupted my shooting experience.

Conclusion

Nikon J1 will deliver the quality that you expect and will help you learn a lot with its range of features. I can't wait to see how far I go with this amazing camera.
Using this camera is a real delight. I would highly recommend it.
