Advantages: Amazing macro pictures Disadvantages: Battery life isn't long
...~ Continuous Shooting modes
Nikon were fairly generous with this camera when it came to the high-speed modes. There is a movie clip setting - this isn't great and doesn't include sound. Video clips suffer from jerky movement and it seems to record the video as very fast still images rather than allowing motion blur to occur which helps to smooth things out. This could have advantages if you are analysing a movie clip as each frame is going to have ... ...cards, spare batteries and the Nikon filter kit that I bought seperately.
On the side of the camera is the usb connector port, power in connector and wrpping around the die to the back is the cover for the memory card. This feels substantial and doesn't show signs of breaking. The camera can take compact flash (type 1 only) memory cards.
On the bottom of the camera is the battery compartment and tripod screw thread. I find this slightly worrying ...

Advantages: ease of use, build quality and picture quality Disadvantages: confusing retrieval system for computer ludites
I have now been using this digital camera for 3 months after it arrived new to the UK scene. At first I was nonplussed by the lack of twain drivers for retrieving pictures but within a day I had come to terms with the instruction book and now I am extremely impressed. The camera is easy to use, has a large capacity fo storage and produces the finest quality of pictures to grace my home computer. The on board choices for setup is large and the menus ... ...with the system for download that involves a separate drive that you link to your computer and then pictures have to be copied to your album staorage folders. At first this got me confused but after mastering it I found that this made picture retrieval much faster than a twain drive and I can see this is the way to go. I recommend this as your digital camera. Use it in conjunction with any photo editing software and the quality is unsurpassed. My ...

Advantages: Many features, zoom, rechargable battery, quality pictures Disadvantages: A bit chunky
I have now had this camera for about 6 months and have used it at weddings, on holiday and at parties etc. The first thing that you notice is the quality of the final picture which is amazing. 3.34 megapixels is still quite high by todays standards and with a decent printer you can print in half A4 (or even bigger) size with no pixelation or blurring etc.
Also, the LCD screen on the back is a reasonable size and works well. The camera has loads ... ...on the standard photo. However, it is also easy to use as a simple point and shoot camera. It also has a movie feature but does not record sound.
The camera is well built and sturdy, and comes with both a rechargable battery and a normal one as a back up, as well as USB leads and a lead to connect the camera to a TV so that photos can be viewed full screen. The only downside I can see is that it is quite physically big compared to some others such ...

Advantages: Very good price, many features, rather compact, excellent quality of images Disadvantages: Only 16 MB CоmpactFlash, 2CR5 - poor battery life (need rechargable battery)
Nikon CoolPix 880 - very compact and simple in use the camera, is easy to operate it, and it is possible to carry in a pocket. The workmanship, as well as was necessary to expect from an inexpensive model, is above the average. Therefore it is possible to be sure, that it will serve rather long.

Advantages: easy to use Disadvantages: slightly to big
To me the camera is easy to handle, menus are also easy to follow, but size is slightly big, so it is not so convenience to bring. Down loading process to the computer take some steps, and I found it is difficult to install at the beginning as my PC runs Windows ME. But local agent support me a lot and it works now.
