Advantages Advantages Great build quality and image quality, easy to use and looks good.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery icon is misleading, that's all.

First of all I will review the looks, it looks like an SLR and that is mainly because the camera takes four batteries and has a massive 21x optical and wide angle zoom. The grip/handle contains the batteries, it is useful because it would be very uncomfortable holding a thin camera with a massive zoom hanging of the front! The quality of the body is great, it is made from a very durable plastic, it has a lovely feel to it almost like metal. It gets a nice cool feeling to it, not warming up and getting finger prints or marks all over it. It also has a pop up flash, which looks very stylish, the ... more

4 Stars A very good camera, but has problems. Review with images 11/06/2012

Advantages Advantages Cheap, well built, amazing zoom and good pictures.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Terrible in low light, not very manual and focus is average.

Well, my dad has this camera, I just use it a lot. This is my first bridge camera that I've used, and the pictures are generally very high quality, but the downside is everything is very automated, you cannot adjust shutter speed and many other settings unlike what you can do on most Compact SLRs, DSLRs etc. And also the fact this camera is AWFUL in low light. I don't mean in the dark either, if it's not broad daylight or very high lighting, the camera won't work properly. Fortunately it was a good flash system, which adds some effect to the pictures and doesn't quite sort out the low lighting ... more

4 Stars Coolpix that could have been cooler ! Review with images 04/02/2012

Advantages Advantages small, good picture quality, good price

Disadvantages Disadvantages not many manual settings

Been a while since I've written a review so thought I would pop on and review this camera I got for Christmas. It was on offer for £150 but you can still get it for this price now. As far as a camera goes it has a lot of features but certainly not ones that are needed for a bridge camera. All of the features on this camera can and have been included on a lot of compact cameras. Before buying this I thought I wouldn't need much out of a camera but it appears after using this I do. The good points out weigh the bad so I shall list these for you. Good • Small enough to put in a bag and not as ... more

    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Powerful Zoom, 'on the fly adjustments', nifty zoom selector and Panorama Photo ability

Disadvantages Disadvantages No eye viewfinder, colour senstivity poor, no hot shoe for flash, no clip-in to hold batteries

I have been recently experimenting with different digital cameras to replace my Panasonic Lumix ever since it was gifted way. My friend recently had got Nikon Coolpix L120 which incidentally was within my rather modest budget range of sub £150 and I borrowed it for a week to try it out. 1. I would term the Nikon L120 as an 'all-rounder', a term borrowed from my favourite game Cricket where the player is able to excel or atleast reasonably do well on all fronts of the game - batting, bowling and fielding. With L120 also it is the same - it is reasonably able to please the user on nearly all ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages not suitable for night time photos

I am totally a camera person who likes to capture sweet memories. I think it is fun to capture cool memories and relive these memories that illuminate life. After all, memories make life beautiful! Whether it is a special occasion or just another day, I like to click pictures and save them for life. That is why I invested in the 14.1-megapixel superzoom Nikon camera. With a distinctive side control lever and 21x optical zoom lens, it cannot get better. Some of the other features that I would like to mention are sensor-shift vibration reduction, 3-inch LCD screen, 720p HD movie recording, not ... more

Is it a good camera for its price?

Hi, I'm about to buy this camera but i want to have other views. I am going a big trip next year and i want to be able to take good photos. I just don't have the budget to buy a realllly good camera. So i'm hesitating between this one and a Kodak EASYSHARE Z5010 . Which one do you prefer and why??
