Well I have had this camera 6 months and I think it is great very near SLR quality and range of functions and compact enough to take eith you every where, Which is what I do. The zoom is the main feature and here is where it leaves almost all cameras of a similar size behind even at full zoom it takes crisp clear photos. The disadvantages are the size of the screen yes it is huge but that leaves nowhere to put your fingers when trying to hold it. Also in Low light you almost always have to use the manual settings to get it to focus. overall this is a fantastic camera I find the settings easy to set and the auto settings make it very easy to get profesional photos out of a compact camera.
