I was given the Nikon Coolpix S510 in pink from my boyfriend.
He paid £ 163.19 from pixmania.
As soon as I saw the camera I fell in love with it, I have a few cameras at home, and this one is probley my favourite because the other cameras are a bit of a struggle to take anywhere as there quiet chunky and heavy, with this camera there isn't a problem as its small.
I love the fact that the camera has a rotating navigation pad and a vertical lens cover.

I think the camera is really good but I wouldn't give it an excellent rating as it could be improved, I was messing around with the and I changed it to ISO2000 and the picture was horrific however setting ISO to The ISO64 made the photos look great and you could see masses of detail which I was pretty impressed with.

Here's the cameras Specifications

Features 5/5

Something I find handy with this camera is you can change the menu to either icons or text.
.I personally prefer viewing the menu with icons.

The Mode button has six options available which are shooting mode, Hi ISO, Scene, Microphone, Video and Set up.
The Shooting mode basically takes you back to taking pictures whilst the Hi ISO option changes for a high ISO rating for shooting. I found this useful when I'm taking photos in low lighting conditions.

The Scene mode
You need to select a scene, there are 16 modes to choose from which are Portrait, Landscape, Sports, Night portrait, Party/Indoor, Beach/Snow, Sunset, Dusk/Dawn, Night Landscape, Close up, Museum, Fireworks, Copy, Backlight, Panorama and Image mode to change the resolution.

When I put the camera into the shooting mode, the Menu has six different options for changing the Resolution, White balance can be changed, Continuous shooting, ISO ratings, Colour options such as Standard, Vivid, Black & white(Currently my favourite), Sepia and Cyanotype.

Also available in the menu is the AF area mode. This can be changed between Face priority, Auto, Manual or centre.

Flash 5/5
This Nikon camera has five flash options they are Auto, On with Red-eye reduction, Flash off, Flash on and Night scene portrait.
One thing that really is perfect is the flash as it range between 50cm - 3.5m at wide angle and 50cm - 6.5m, good huh?

Nicely written, and you JUST scraped a VH from me, but I think a lot of Ciao'ers felt it NEARLY reached VH status. Good luck.
