Nikon Coolpix S630

Advantages: Looks good, durable and a good range of user interactive settings.
Disadvantages: Not the most vivid of colour capture and a few other problems (see review).

...As a professional photographer who is used to using top of the range DSLR cameras, I often worry that I will be a little harsh on simple point and shoot cameras when asked to give my opinion on them. Last week when I was asked to test the Nikon Coolpix S560 and give my opinion on it for my camera club, I was determined to do so with an open mind because as well as thinking I can be harsh on point and shoots, I am also not Nikon`s biggest fan. The Nikon Coolpix S560 is the latest in a range of Nikon point and shoot digital cameras and a direct step up from the Coolpix S550. In my opinion this was released a bit quickly after the S550 and it makes me wonder if Nikon were ever truly happy with the 550 that they felt the need to release its successor within just a few months of it being released itself. Advantages: Great looking. Cool colours
Disadvantages: Very poor picture quality

...I purchased this camera for my daughter in blue for her birthday and she immediately loved the color and the size of the camera. The problem was the picture and the video quality. The pictures were coming out grainy and showed up with rainbow dots. The video she took had visible pink stripes and also rainbow dots showing up. I was not satisfied with this camera, so I returned it within a few days. I was surprised that this camera had poor image quality since it is 10 MP and made by Nikon. I would not recommend this camera. Poor image quality outweighs the good qualities of this camera. High levels of jpeg artifacting coupled with medium levels of chromatic abberation result in image sharpness and contrast lower than that of a 2 megapixel camera, save your money. Advantages: Easy to use, most pictures come out good, value for money, look, durability, size and weight.
Disadvantages: Some pictures come out blurred.

...My first digital camera is this, the Nikon Coolpix L10. PICTURE QUALITY Some pictures come out good, and some come out blurry. I find 72% of my pictures come out non-blurry. RANGE & QUALITY OF FEATURES You can change the colour, the white balance, if there should be a continous shot, you can also change the flash. I find the amount of features great. EASE OF USE I find this camera very easy to set up, very easy to take a photo with and it's easy all round. DURABILITY The camera doesn't get scratched easily, it can get a tiny bit smugy but that's it. No major damage for mine! OVERALL LOOK & DESIGN The camera looks so standard but it shows off its shiny silverness when you put it next to other cameras. VALUE FOR MONEY You can buy this from Amazon for £104.75.
