Having used various Cameras over the years and various Brands Iv'e finally happily ended up with Nikon. The Nikon D200 is an easy to use SLR body with a wealth of features that are hidden in menus if you ever want to use them. It's the sort of camera that would be easy to use out of the box without the instruction book.
Results: On the standard settings, the images this camera produces are lovely and punchy and hardly need any editing afterwards. It may be slightly pricier than some other models but this is a semi-pro model that will last for years... Accurate metering & focusing. Using the genuine battery.. it's not that power hungry either.. I have 2 batteries and it's very rare that I have to change the battery even if I'm snapping away all day.
A great handling digital SLR body and if you are new to Nikon... welcome to a great world....
