The Nikon D200 is an exceptional piece of equipment, and for those of you who have owned one or are still using the D200 will know what I am talking about. The build quality is just outstanding, I have dropped my D200 numerous times and it is still solid and taking excellent pictures. The speed of the camera is also pretty good, shooting at 5fps you are sure to capture all the action. The 10.2 megapixels will give you outsatnding picture quality and be able to print large A3 photos easily. I have a compact camera which is a 10 megapixel but does not come close to the picture quality that the D200 produces. The size of the camera alone is not very large or heavy, although once you add all the accessories on, such as the flash, battery pack and lens it can feel a bit bulky. If you are taking pictures of the family holiday then you probably wont need all the accessories as the built in flash works well and the single battery should last rather long. With the camera getting old and new models coming out frequently, you would probably be able to get the Nikon D200 at the fraction of the price I paid for it 3 Years ago (£850). It will take time to get use to all the different setting and controls, but the instruction manual will get you well on your way to mastering the D200. I will never regret buying my nikon D200, it is an awesome piece of equipment.
