significant that it wouldn't be inappropriate to call it a 'compact D3' (less the full-frame sensor of course). From the top there's a new CMOS sensor with twelve megapixels, a new auto-focus sensor with 51-points (15 of which are cross-type sensitive), there's focus tracking by color, scene recognition, Picture Control presets, six frames per second continuous shooting (or eight frames per second with a battery pack), Compact Flash UDMA support, Live View (with contrast detect AF) and the mighty impressive 3.0" 922,000 pixel LCD monitor (oh and HDMI video output). It's an impressive list, the D200 was a fair step up from the D100, the D300 can be seen as just as big a step, certainly more than enough to make the competition sweat.

foil protection - only 0.05 Milimeter thin- Very good liability by adhesive force, nevertheless cleanly removable- The foils match exactly on the display- You receive a instructions on your delivery. The assembly is very simple.- Simple and bladder free attachment without liquid (water.) Water can damage your device. We do not recommend using water. This Screenprotection is from Original DoublePro® in high quality
Advantages: Competitively priced and packed with new features Disadvantages: None! Any disadvantages would be entirely personal
The Nikon D300 will currently set you back around £1000 in the UK, and that's without the glass on the front. My review here might seem technical to some, but that's not an amount of money most people part with lightly. I don't apologise for putting some basic spec in the review, after all, if you're considering buying this camera, it's exactly what you need to know before getting out your wallet.
If you're after a camera that will take good quality ... ...said, my review of the Nikon D300 contains some specifications and technical speak, as well as my own experience of using the camera. I haven't covered everything, as that would take forever, but I've aimed to cover some of the more important and useable features.

Advantages: Low noise at high ISO settings Disadvantages: None so far
I exchanged my D200 for a D300 a week ago. At the moment the weather has not been particularly good so the camera has been set at a high ISO rating. One set of pictures were taken at ISO 1600, something I would have never attempted with my D200 or my D2Xs, which I also have. The results are very pleasing and the lack of noise is a great achievement for Nikon. Previously in low light conditions, I would have to put the pictures through Photoshop and ... ...and the presettings allow you to tailor the image to your own liking. Another step forward is the "Live View" option. This will be a great asset to lndscape, still life and macro photographers. The pre-view screen on the back of the camera is a huge and very clear. ...

I own this camera for quite a while now and I'm fully satisfied with it.
Though its 6.1 - 10.2 mega-pixel resolution was beaten with over 12 mega-pixel offered by new Nikon D300, for the price I paid Nikon D60 served me very well. Quality of pictures is more
