Advantages 16.2 mp censor, 3.0" LCD monitor, HD movie, 17 shooting modes, In-camera retouching

Disadvantages Might be a little difficult to get to know.

I think it´s not too much to say that this is a phenomenal camera. It´s price is around 700-800 euros - definitely a good buy for that amount of money. When first handling the DSLR you are impressed bu it´s "outer qualities" - Side-articulated LCD screen, 921k dot LCD screen. But you will not be disappointed actually using the camera either. With it´s 16.2 megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor you are able to take professional quality photos. The colours are brilliant, I have to say. It is smaller than it´s "ancestor" D5000.
Using D5100 offers you a glimpse to the real world of photography where art is not simply created by pushing down the bottom. You can use all the A, S and M modes and various in-camera effects and shooting modes (17). Also, there´s the new effect mode (features miniature, high-key, low-key, night, sketch effects).
In continuous shooting mode you can get up to 4 shoots per second. You can use AE bracketing, multiple exposure times between 1/4000 and 30 seconds.
The camera weighs 510 g and it´s measurements are 127 × 97 × 79 mm.
One key difference between D5100 and other cameras on the market is it´s movie mode that allows you to film clips up to the quality of 1080p30/25/24. You can film in any of the shooting modes and use full-time AF while filming.

For me, it has only been wonderful. I was stunned by the high quality and gorgeous colors of the images. Of course, it takes time to learn how to use it but as it is not that difficult, you will have fun with your camera quite soon.

I love your picture, but a review published in Euros on an English site can only rate as SH. R.
