Excellent entry level DSLR from nikon. Very easy to use , even for those with no experience of DSLR's. Just put it on auto and point and shoot. You will be amazed at the difference in quality from a compact. For those with a bit more experience and creativity, ther eare plenty of modes to choose from. Highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for a well priced entry level DSLR. The supplied Nikon zoom lens is a decent optic which takes more than satisfactory pictures. On board flash is capable if not spectacular. I have owned this camera for 6 months and have not been disappointed with it. just make sure you buy a high capacity , fast memory card, as slower ones seriously slow down the processing.
