    When I got my hands on the Nikon D800, it had the same solid reliable feel of my last camera, a DX40 but as I began to explore what it could do I was smitten, the resolution is amazing, and the video output is superb. It is an expensive camera, but when you develop a world beating 36 plus mega pixel close coupled device (cmos) it is going to cost a lot. This camera is capable of hard use in the professional studio as well as appealing to top end enthusiasts who have previously been limited to around the twelve mega pixel level unless they had gone for the Canon EOS 5D.
