This Camera is perfect amateurs as well as professionals, the menu system has lots of options to change but it is easy to use and most function have an Auto setting if in any doubt as well as preset options for Macro, Portrait, Landscape, Night Scenery, Night Portrait and sport Modes.
The 10Mega Pixel is fantastic providing great quality and the ability to really zoom in on detail perhaps on a PC afterwards. You have the choice of shooting picture in Raw, JPeg Fine, JPeg Normal JPeg Basic …….or a combination of
Raw and Jpeg Fine, Raw and Jpeg Normal Raw and Jpeg Basic
This affects the compression ratio of the image for the memory card and effect. Jpeg Normal is more than sufficient though you may wish to up the quality to Jpeg Fine or Raw if you are planning to do a lot of computer alterations to the image afterwards.
The DBO can also shoot in Black and White, and you have the additional facility of adding Orange, Red, Yellow or Green filters effect to alter the Sky, Skin Tone or landscape colours.
Though the Flash is sufficient for everyday photos, if you plan on taking a lot of indoor photography an additional flash may be beneficial.
Advantages: easy to use, self-explanatory, excellent picture quality and clear bright vivid photos Disadvantages: difficulty recognising lens occasionally, cache could be bigger for saving RAW files
