It is a known fact, that after a year or two of regular use and charging, batteries in your sex toys will need to be replaced.
It also applies to rechargeable batteries in a digital camera, and Nikon digital cameras are no exception.
A typical battery will last for a good couple of years, before you notice a significant reduction in quality. So, what do I mean by a reduction in quality?
I mean that the time between charges will start to decrease. At first you could get a few hundred shots between charges, but when this figure decreases to between fifty and one hundred, you know you need a new battery. (These figures are only a rough guide and vary between cameras. Also, cameras with the LCD screen consume more power than those without. As a rule of thumb, when the time between charges drops to about one third of the original value, replace the battery).
Unlike in a sex toy, having a poor battery will not affect the usage. It will simply be a case of getting fewer pictures per charge, and not a continuous 'weaker' vibration throughout. The quality of pictures is not affected, neither is the memory (as this is usually dependent on the size of the memory card instead).
When it comes to replacing a battery, steer well clear of second hand ones, even if they do seem to be half of the price. Second hand batteries will also have a short charge capacity. It is just like someone buying your old battery and expecting it to work like brand new.
In general terms, the more you spend on a battery, the longer it will last. This Nikon battery cost me fifty quid, and is worth every penny.

I do however use the LCD screen quite a bit, and don't use a mains adaptor when connecting it to the computer to transfer images etc.
The battery is charged the same way as my old battery was. You can either use the standard MH-18 quick charger or the MH-19 multi charger. With these charges, the battery takes three and six hours respectively to charge fully.
So far I have had this replacement battery for four months, and I have not noticed a decline in charge capacity.
Overall, this is a camera battery and I have said all that is possible to say about it in this review. Yep it works and costs fifty quid. Summed up nicely in half a dozen words. So then, why did I take a couple of hundred to sum it up?
This Nikon Battery was supplied with my Nikon D80 camera, which I purchased several months ago.
Size & Weight
The dimensions are 5.5cm in length, 3.7cm in width and 2cm in height, which is perfectly fine, it isn't especially large and it isn't especially small. I can't tell you the weight exactly but it isn't too heavy and won't noticeably weigh your camera down.
Price
The price is approximately £20 but you can find it for less if you look about a little bit - using a price comparison website is the best way to do so. For a battery such as this, £20 is more than reasonable, in my eyes at least.
Battery Life
I have heard of several complaints that this battery life is appalling and only lasts for a very short amount of time, but I have experienced nothing of the sort and I've heard of many more people in my ...

at 1.8" and 6.1 megapix is on the low side compared to newer models. It has built in fully automatic speed flash with red-eye reduction but watch the auto function as it pops up at the most unexpected times. It comes with a standard ISO hot shoe. For diverse lighting conditions, you can fiddle with the white balance mode which offers six manual settings in addition to auto and this also has a bracketing function. There is a continuous shooting mode offering three frames per second using JPEG format. There's also a self-timer and remote control mode. You can also shoot in RAW mode with JPEG formats in basic, normal and fine.
