This Nikon Battery was supplied with my Nikon D80 camera, which I purchased several months ago.


Size & Weight

The dimensions are 5.5cm in length, 3.7cm in width and 2cm in height, which is perfectly fine, it isn't especially large and it isn't especially small. I can't tell you the weight exactly but it isn't too heavy and won't noticeably weigh your camera down.

This Nikon Battery was supplied with my Nikon D80 camera, which I purchased several months ago.

The dimensions are 5.5cm in length, 3.7cm in width and 2cm in height, which is perfectly fine, it isn't especially large and it isn't especially small. I can't tell you the weight exactly but it isn't too heavy and won't noticeably weigh your camera down.

The price is approximately £20 but you can find it for less if you look about a little bit - using a price comparison website is the best way to do so. For a battery such as this, £20 is more than reasonable, in my eyes at least.

I have heard of several complaints that this battery life is appalling and only lasts for a very short amount of time, but I have experienced nothing of the sort and I've heard of many more people in my circumstance where the battery life has been excellent. In fact, using my top quality JPG mode on my camera, which produces 4mb files per photograph, this battery easily lasts 400 shots and often tends towards 550 or so. Using a flash half of the time you can expect about 350 - 450 shots and the battery life has lasted me a whole days shooting on near enough every occasion I have needed it to. Having used this battery for many months now, I am confident that the charge levels have remained constant throughout and I am still getting the same levels of charge as I did after the first 3 or so charges, once the battery was fully operational. A full charge takes around 3-4 hours which I find exceptional considering the amount of power it provides the camera with.

I'm not entirely sure what camera this does or does not work with, but as I previously said, it came with my Nikon D80 Digital SLR and so I assume it works with most if not all of the Nikon Digital SLR range.

I rate this battery very highly. The battery life is brilliant, I haven't had any issues with it. The price is highly reasonable. No complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend.
