as a former died in the wool, manual focus only, AF is for wimps sort of snapper I've always avoided this kind of photo-gear..but I have to admit that trying the F50 & F60 out last year was a treat
only actually had it in my possession to teach someone the basic principles of photography as they were getting an F60 to take to Antarctica as part of a UNESCO trip but after only a short while, and seeing the cracking results that my formerly photo-dunce pupil managed to produce, I was sold!
Nice user-friendly features, pin sharp focussing, simple controls for novices but with advanced settings ideal for the higher level user this piece of photo-gear is a great bit of kit and I liked it so much...I bought one for myself! Ditching a few older bits of equipment I got a handy boxed set and have only one small complaint...battery life ain't as good as it could be and no audible low battery-level warning signal to give you some notice!
Otherwise, good gear!

Advantages: 7-point-focussing, lightweight, easy to use. Disadvantages: Can sometimes focus on the wrong thing when in AF mode. Can sometimes rewind 36 exposure films a bit dodgy. It kind of loops the film over, making it hard to extract (if you are developing yourself)
