My partner (who is a camera buff) gave me this camera as a present. I, on the other hand, have never owned a camera. I have found this camera a real gem to own. Despite being a complete novice, all of my photos have been perfectly exposed, focussed without red eye. I have found it very rewarding as I didn't have to spend hours reading the manual and working out how to get a decent photo!
