Nikon D90 - My Next 'Last' Camera

Advantages: Movies, LiveView, 12.3 mpixels, build quality, excellent lens range
Disadvantages: Still quite bulky for casual use. Expensive if that's all you want it for

you to set an aperture and let the camera find a suitable shutter speed to go with it. This is useful, if say, you want to throw the background of a portrait or close-up out of focus to concentrate the viewer?s attention. (Large apertures make focussing more critical) ?S? for Shutter Priority allows the opposite, giving you the opportunity to freeze or deliberately blur action, letting the camera find an aperture to match. ?P? for Program Mode does a modicum of each adjustment for general picture taking, keeping the camera well within the ISO (film speed) rating range. Incidentally, the ISO range which can either be set by you or by the camera goes from 200-3200, which was practically unheard of in film days, since anything above ISO 400 produced noticeably grainier results especially in colour. The Nikon surpasses its older stable mates ...

Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz - 17" TFT

Advantages: nice screen, good battery life, fast specs
Disadvantages: large size (price?)

Apple mac-books, where to start... ok, so to start, it is an apple, that means you get a solid quality product and on the whole very good customer are. this particualar apple is deffinatly more suited to being a media center than other laptops. At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop. The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop. The price is quite steep however, but i believe, if given the money, it is ...

Nikon Coolpix S1

Advantages: Small, compact and very easy to use!
Disadvantages: Old, not as good as more recent cameras.

just slide in and out of your pocket, and it also gives it a sturdy feel. I've dropped this camera I can't count how many times, but it still works absolutly fine, albeit with a few nicks and scratches! The screen is more than adequate at 2.5 inches, and comes in handy when taking pictures and reviewing what you've captured; a bigger screen always helps! The camera only have a few buttons, all of which are self explanatory, and most useful of all, the actual capture button is the biggest of the lot, so it's obvious which one to press (something which i've often found difficult with some cameras) In terms of features, the S1 is quite well catered for. It has three modes, automatic, pre-programmed mode, and video. The video is about the quality you'd expect, not great, but definitely at an average level (it records at a resolution of 640x480 ...
